Hoka frequently ventures into novel territories when it comes to footwear design and initiatives. This could involve crafting stylish profiles for outdoor enthusiasts, like the Speed Loafer, or launching flagship stores in prominent urban areas worldwide. Hoka consistently thinks beyond conventional boundaries. Now, Hoka has introduced its latest concept that centers around community engagement: a new convenience store in East London named “Run Stop Corner Shop.
The fresh retail space in London, specifically Bethnal Green Road, is geared towards consumers and offers everything a runner requires during the training season for the upcoming year. This store not only caters to runners but also appreciates and fosters the camaraderie that arises from the sport of running. It serves as a convenient “one-stop-shop,” stocking a variety of items, including “HOKENs,” for customers to buy their essentials, ranging from scratchcards to sneakers and snacks.
Moreover, the store’s opening is synchronized with the debut of HOKA’s latest Bondi 9 model. This renowned running shoe made its first appearance in the market more than a decade ago and has now been rejuvenated with enhanced cushioning for daily runners pounding their local streets.
For people checking out the fresh “Run Stop Corner Shop,” HOKA has secretly designed an enhanced area accessible via a vibrant, neon-lit passageway. In this zone, the classic London corner shop ambiance is replaced. Named the “FlyLab,” this upper level offers customers a unique and modern way to test the Bondi 9 shoes. HOKA intends to frequently organize brand events here, such as group runs with popular London running groups.

Speaking on the launch of “Run Stop Corner Shop,” Cynthia van der Moolen, HOKA’s Marketing Director for EMEA, expressed her enthusiasm: “We can’t wait to welcome customers into the realm of HOKA, engaging with consumers and fostering connections within London’s vibrant running communities through the interactive ‘Run Stop’ experience. While ‘Run Stop’ showcases our groundbreaking product development, it transcends mere performance footwear; it’s about the bonds formed among runners, the tales exchanged, and the journeys that influence how we all move.
Additionally, the “Run Stop Corner Shop” concept from HOKA has been introduced in their latest brand movie. This short film showcases Scratcha, a popular British electronic artist, DJ, and record producer, who loves running and is aiming to complete a marathon.
Swing by the freshly opened “HOKA’s Run Stop Corner Store”! It’s open for you to explore until February 23, located at 123 Bethnal Green Road, E2 7DG.
