Tatiana Maslany Teases She-Hulk’s Future in Daredevil: Born Again!

The much-anticipated series “Daredevil: Born Again” is scheduled for release on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. Fans are thrilled at the prospect of following the Man Without Fear’s tale further, after his original series, “Daredevil,” ended on Netflix in 2018. With Charlie Cox and the “Daredevil” cast now moving to Disney+, fans are eager for the possibility of more enticing crossovers with cherished characters, such as a potential get-together with She-Hulk, portrayed by Tatiana Maslany.

Although the original Daredevil series concluded back in 2018, fans have not been deprived of Charlie Cox portraying the character. He’s made appearances in movies like “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and TV shows such as “Echo” and more recently, “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.” Daredevil had a significant role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his appearance in the 2022 series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” where he collaborated with lawyer/superhero Jennifer Walters, also known as She-Hulk, played by Emmy-winning actress Tatiana Maslany.

At the red-carpet event for my new movie, “The Monkey,” I had a delightful chat with Tessa Smith from Screen Rant. When asked about potential collaborations, I shared my excitement at the possibility of working alongside Daredevil in the upcoming series, “Daredevil: Born Again.

Indeed, he was exceptional. He had an infectious fun spirit, making him delightful to interact with. His skill lay in seamlessly transitioning a pre-existing character into a new atmosphere while preserving the character’s essence, which turned out to be quite humorous. Watching him clash with this more lighthearted universe was truly entertaining.

In the same vein as how She-Hulk: Attorney at Law transitioned Daredevil into a more humorous and comedic series, Maslany yearns to portray She-Hulk with a deeper, more dramatic flair in Daredevil: Born Again. To put it in her words, “I have a significant, one might say, I have many serious aspects within me.

Fans of Maslany and She-Hulk might hope to see her character in “Daredevil: Born Again,” but that’s not on the cards for Season 1. Though Daredevil was last seen as Jennifer’s date at her family BBQ in the finale of “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” the makers of “Daredevil: Born Again” have stated they won’t delve into the events of that series. However, there are two clear connections between the shows, as the yellow and red costume Daredevil wore in “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” is visible in the trailer for “Born Again.” If She-Hulk does make an appearance, it’s more likely to be in Season 2.

She-Hulk Could Help Solve Some of Marvel’s Recent Headaches

A frequent complaint about the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) during Phases 4 and 5 is the perceived lack of cohesion between projects, and the absence of a central group of characters to identify with. One character who has consistently appeared throughout the Multiverse Saga is Daredevil, but She-Hulk has also garnered attention as a potential key figure in the MCU. Her legal expertise in superhero law makes her an ideal character to weave in and out of various stories. The omission of She-Hulk from “Captain America: Brave New World” was noticeable, especially since it was essentially a follow-up to “The Incredible Hulk,” and she could have served as Isaiah Bradley’s attorney in his court case.

It might be advantageous to incorporate Jennifer Walters and her character, She-Hulk, into the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. The appeal of these shows lies in observing how these characters adapt to different genres, so it would be intriguing to explore Jennifer Walters in a more dramatic narrative. Just as audiences enjoyed seeing Daredevil in a lighter series, we could gain fresh insights into the relationship between She-Hulk and Daredevil within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Their connection, if developed further, could establish a new foundation for the MCU, similar to Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff, or Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. Fingers crossed that Marvel Studios hasn’t overlooked She-Hulk – it seems someone there should have enough foresight to recognize that much of the criticism directed at her Disney+ series was malicious and orchestrated as part of a targeted harassment campaign.
