As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for concerts and pop culture, I’ve witnessed my fair share of epic battles and triumphs. But none can compare to Taylor Swift’s latest victory—breaking the record as the first ever $2 billion USD tour in history!
In a remarkable achievement, Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” stands as the first-ever concert series to surpass $2 billion in earnings, marking yet another record-breaking milestone for this exceptional artist.
As reported by Variety, Swift’s team verified that her 21-month long, sold-out engagement garnered a grand total of $2,077,618,725 USD, with a staggering 10,168,008 people in attendance. The average price for tickets bought from official outlets was $204 USD, while resold tickets went for an average of $2,952 USD. Swift’s eight performances at Wembley Stadium accounted for 753,112 ticket sales, but her most highly-attended show took place on February 16, 2024 in Melbourne, Australia, where a whopping 96,006 tickets were sold.
Approximately a year ago, Pollstar announced that the 2023 segment of the tour had become the first to surpass $1 billion USD in earnings following 60 performances spread across eight months.
