As a seasoned gamer of both real-life and digital worlds, I must admit, the news about Ted Lasso‘s fourth season leaves me as excited as leveling up to the max in my favorite MMO! The show has been a beacon of light in the streaming landscape, much like a rare legendary item found after hours of grinding.
The fourth season of Apple TV+’s hit series Ted Lasso, starring Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift, has been given the go-ahead by Warner Bros. Television. As reported by Variety, Sudeikis will also be involved as an executive producer for the upcoming season.
Initially created by Bill Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Hunt, and Joe Kelly, this show has been adapted using the existing structure and characters from NBC Sports. The highly successful fourth season of the Apple TV+ comedy series has prompted Warner Bros. Television to exercise options for the contracts of its primary characters. As these agreements are due to expire, it is anticipated that other cast members will also be offered SAG-AFTRA contracts. However, it remains uncertain which actors will return for the next season, which is currently targeting a production start in early 2025.
In the past, Ted Lasso earned 13 Emmys in its original three season run with two back-to-back wins for Outstanding Comedy Series and acting wins for Sudeikis and Goldstein. Season three finale was in May 2023 and saw Keeley and Rebecca looking to partner on a new venture in AFC Richmond Women’s Team. Stay tuned for more information on the show.
