Tere Naam Wins: Fans Demand Re-Release of This Romantic Tragedy

Right now, cinephiles are engrossed in the romantic atmosphere, as they rewatch Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane’s Sanam Teri Kasam. Simultaneously, TopMob ran a survey to discover which romantic-tragedy fans would like to see next. Based on the results, Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla’s Tere Naam have been overwhelmingly chosen as the preferred pick.

On Sunday, February 9th, we conducted a poll to find out which romantic-tragedy movies from Bollywood our readers are eager to see back in theaters again. The options given were six well-known films – Tere Naam, Ghajini, Aashiqui 2, Raanjhanaa, Devdas, and Fanaa.

In the past day, the poll has wrapped up, and it’s evident that Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla’s Tere Naam has taken the top spot. With an impressive 37% of the total votes, this movie is in the lead.

Based on the survey results, Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor’s popular film Aashiqui 2 came in second place with 20% of the total votes. Close behind were two films: Ghajini starring Aamir Khan and Asin, as well as Devdas featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, each garnering 14% of the votes.

Additionally, Raanjhanaa starring Sonam Kapoor, Dhanush, and Abhay Deol placed fourth with a 10% share of votes, while Aamir Khan and Kajol’s Fanaa received the smallest percentage, only earning 7%.

This month on February 7th, several films were brought back to cinemas as a celebration for Valentine’s Week. Movies like Sanam Teri Kasam, Jab We Met, Silsila, Chandni, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Dil To Pagal Hai, among others, were announced by PVR on their social media platforms, officially confirming their re-release.

Nevertheless, Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Harshvardhan and Mawra, continues to shine brightly almost four years after its initial release in 2016, outperforming many others in the industry for nearly a decade.
