Thama: Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna unite for Dinesh Vijan’s ‘bloody love story’ in horror-comedy universe

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in the entertainment industry, I must say that the collaboration between Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Dinesh Vijan for their upcoming film “Thama” is nothing short of exhilarating! The combination of horror, comedy, love story, and vampires has a unique appeal that will surely captivate audiences.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna have confirmed the release of their new movie called “Thama.” Back in June, we shared that director Aditya Satpodar, who previously worked with Dinesh Vijan on Munjya, was teaming up again for a horror-comedy featuring vampires. The production team has now officially announced the project on their social media platforms.

On October 30th, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Dinesh Vijan jointly shared a post to unveil their upcoming movie titled “Thama.” The teaser video suggests that the film will feature Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles. Directed by Aditya Satpodar, this intense love story set against a violent backdrop is slated for release during Diwali 2025.

As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly anticipating Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe expanding with a romantic tale – but beware, it’s not your typical love story. Get ready for the chilling adventure of #Thama – this Diwali 2025!

Immediately following the announcement, the comments section filled with fans expressing their enthusiasm for the upcoming film. One fan wrote, “This is going to be an incredible Diwali gift for us,” while another said, “A vampire love story is exactly what Bollywood needs right now.” A third fan expressed, “I can’t wait until Diwali 2025! I’m already bursting with excitement,” and yet another gushed, “Oh my goodness, Rashu and Ayushmann in a horror love story? I can hardly contain myself!” Another user exclaimed, “The vampires of Vijaynagar are here now!” All in all, the fans seemed very excited for the film.

Initially known as “Vampire of Vijay Nagar,” the movie has been officially renamed to “Thama” by its director Amar Kaushik during an interview with India Today.

It’s noteworthy that we’ve learned from a reliable insider involved in the project, the production for the movie is expected to start before the end of this year.

Apart from our recent triumph with Munjya, I can’t help but ponder on the collaboration we’re about to embark on next. I’m thrilled to share that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will be joining forces for the first time in this project. What makes it even more intriguing is the distinct character arcs both actors will portray, which are certain to leave spectators astonished. Currently, the script is being crafted and won’t be long before we dive into the pre-production phase.

Significantly, the duo Amar Kaushik and Ayushmann Khurrana have collaborated on a project before, specifically the film titled “Bala” which was released in the year 2019.
