‘That Would Be Canon, Right?’: Skeleton Crew’s Ravi Cabot-Conyers Wants A Crossover With Ahsoka, And Tells A Cool Story About Meeting Rosario Dawson

Despite the vastness of the galaxy in the Star Wars universe, there’s always room for beloved characters from different regions to intersect. In the case of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Season 1, it was more of a self-contained story, with only a slight connection to one of the other Disney+ Star Wars series – the character Vane, a pirate introduced in The Mandalorian Season 3. However, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, who portrays Wim in Skeleton Crew, revealed to TopMob his desire for a crossover with Ahsoka, and also shared an interesting encounter he had with Rosario Dawson, the actress who brings Ahsoka to life.

In my latest chat with Cabot-Conyers, during which he discussed his response upon discovering Jude Law’s character’s major plot twist and the experience of filming his significant lightsaber scene, he made this comment when I inquired about which Star Wars figure he hoped Wim could encounter one day:

“When asked who Wim should meet from Star Wars someday, this was Cabot-Conyers’ response…”

“Cabot-Conyers shared what he thinks Wim should meet in Star Wars after our talk about the major twist for Jude Law’s character and his experience filming the big lightsaber scene. This is what he said when I asked him about this:

Ahsoka Tano! I must admit, I was anticipating that question wholeheartedly. Ahsoka Tano to the maximum extent possible, if you catch my drift. Fans have been expressing their desire for Hondo to make a comeback, which could very well happen since he’s a space pirate and all. However, I would personally prefer Ahsoka, as it could be part of the official storyline, right? It’s definitely a possibility we might explore. In fact, we had the pleasure of meeting Rosario Dawson, who portrays Ahsoka Tano. She dropped by our set a few times since we were filming Skeleton Crew concurrently with Ahsoka. So, she visited us a couple of times while on the same lot. She’s such a sweet person and I had the chance to interact with her again at Celebration a few years back. She’s an absolute delight and does a fantastic job as Ahsoka Tano. I would be thrilled if she could join us on a future escapade.

As a follower, I’m excitedly anticipating the possibility of encountering Ahsoka Tano alongside Wim in certain future Star Wars movies and series. The stories unfold in the New Republic era, approximately half a decade post-Return of the Jedi, with Ahsoka’s journey continuing beyond The Mandalorian Season 2 and The Book of Boba Fett. At present, it seems challenging due to Ahsoka being stranded in another galaxy. However, considering the narrative trajectory, it feels reasonable that their paths will cross following the resolution of Ahsoka’s location issue in season 2.

Regarding Ravi Cabot-Conyers’ encounter with Rosario Dawson, he shared that she visited the set of “Skeleton Crew” dressed as Ahsoka Tano, making the interaction even more exciting. It’s great to hear they’ve hit it off so well, and I can’t help but hope their characters will cross paths too. If a reunion on “Ahsoka” or “Skeleton Crew” (if the latter gets renewed for Season 2) isn’t feasible, the most likely place for them to meet could be in the upcoming Star Wars movie being directed by Dave Filoni. This film is planned to tie together storylines from shows set during this era of the Star Wars timeline.

Let’s hope for the day when Wim can embark on adventures with Ahsoka Tano, whether it’s on a large or small screen. For now, you can watch the first seasons of both ‘Ahsoka’ and ‘Skeleton Crew’ by subscribing to Disney+, where they join other Star Wars movies and TV series.
