As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for nostalgia-inducing point-and-click adventures, I find myself utterly captivated by The Abandoned Planet. Having traversed countless virtual realms since my early days of gaming, the idea of exploring an abandoned planet and unraveling its mysteries has me hooked!
Developer Jeremy Fryc of Dexter Team Games, working independently, has introduced the latest game addition from Snapbreak Games. Entitled “The Abandoned Planet”, this point-and-click adventure will whisk you away to a desolate celestial body. Boasting stunning 2D-pixel visuals and challenging brainteasers, this upcoming mobile game is slated for release on iOS and Android devices.
In a similar vein to timeless adventure games such as Myst and Riven, The Abandoned Planet places you in the role of an astronaut who is hurled through a wormhole and ends up on a secluded alien planet. Your task will be to traverse the expansive terrain, uncover the fate of its vanished inhabitants, and ideally, locate a means to return home.
On November 5th, you’ll find The Forsaken World, a fully voiced game, available on both the iOS App Store and Google Play. Pre-ordering is already an option! In case you recall, publisher Snapbreak has previously released games like Boxes: Misplaced Pieces.
Pixel me up
I really enjoy the appearance of The Abandoned Planet, particularly since I have a soft spot for classic point-and-click adventure games from yesteryears. What catches my eye are its unique elements such as the shadowy pixel art animation and the intriguing backdrop of an alien planet. With Snapbreak’s history of delivering top-notch mobile gaming, I have high hopes that Dexter Team Games’ project will meet our expectations!
