As a dedicated ASICS fan and someone who has been following the brand’s releases closely, I am absolutely thrilled about the newest addition to their lifestyle collection: the ASICS GEL-NYC 2055 in “Cream” colorway. This sneaker is not just another release for me; it represents the perfect blend of style and functionality that ASICS is known for.

In early 2023, ASICS introduced the GEL-NYC, a shoe that merged features from the GEL-Nimbus 3, GEL-MC Plus V, and GEL-Cumulus 16. Now, with the GEL-NYC continuing to be a significant part of ASICS’ lifestyle collection, they have unveiled an updated version: the GEL-NYC 2055.
The GEL-NYC 2055 retains the same sole unit as its previous model, providing cushioning from heel to toe with GEL technology. Its upper is a fusion of design elements from the GT-2050 and GT-2060, hence the name “2055.” Initially available in a classic “Cream” and “Steeple Grey,” this shoe takes cues from New York City’s urban landscape with its off-white and grey accents. The upper material consists of mesh, leather, and nubuck, creating an intricate texture throughout.
The ASICS GEL-NYC 2055‘s “Cream” version will be available for purchase starting July 19 from selected retailers at a base price of $130 USD. Further styles are planned to be launched progressively throughout the remainder of the year.
