As a seasoned gamer and streetwear enthusiast with a penchant for all things hip and fresh, I must say that The Basement and New Balance collaboration never fails to impress me. With their latest offering of the 1906R silhouette, they’ve once again hit the sweet spot between style and substance.

Once more, The Basement and New Balance have teamed up on a new project, this time revamping the design of the New Balance 1906R model.

Transformed into a globally recognized trendsetter, The Basement engages the younger generation using music, fashion, art, and thought-provoking questions that foster connections, empathy, or shared humor among its participants. Notably, The Basement has also strengthened ties with industry giants such as New Balance and Nike – a development warmly received by its dedicated followers – through successful footwear collaborations and a critically acclaimed print magazine, all the while preserving its core community principles.

I’m thrilled to share that as a fan, I’m excited about The Basement’s newest collaboration with New Balance! Coming in two striking colorways, “Day Chrome” and “Night Chrome,” these shoes feature an attention-grabbing heel cage, sleek high-shine silver patent panels, reflective mesh accents throughout, and a modern technical toggled lacing system. The Basement’s branding is subtly incorporated with embossed logos on the outer lateral panel, along with tonal reflective printing on the tongue and heel tab. To add a unique touch, The Basement has swapped the traditional ‘N’ for a ‘B’ on the lace loop. Can’t wait to see these on feet!

On September 22, at 4 p.m. BST, the “Day Chrome” edition of the shoe will be available (as shown above). The “Night Chrome” version will follow on September 29.
