However, since there were several people present when he took out the First Son, it’s likely that either President Jessica Danforth (Jemma Redgrave) or the Secret Service will be hot on his trail.
It’s unclear when or where the story unfolds, but it appears that Adam may not be able to return to his peaceful life of tending bees and caring for elderly neighbors; instead, he seems destined to go into hiding. Simultaneously, given Derek’s unsavory past as a less-than-desirable individual who used his mother as a human shield before his demise, there’s a possibility that the president could forgive Adam and instead enlist him for some role.
Timo Tjahjanto Directed One Of My Favorite Action Movies Of The 2010s, And I Can’t Wait To See What He Does Here
Initially, I must admit, I was disappointed when David Ayer decided not to direct The Beekeeper 2. However, my spirits immediately picked up when I learned that Timo Tjahjanto would be taking over as director instead. If you’re unfamiliar with his work, get ready because he’s set to direct Nobody 2, which is expected to hit theaters this year and is part of the 2025 movie lineup.
Beyond just being accountable for some exceptional action films from the last ten years, Tjahjanto is also behind the 2018 Netflix production, “The Night Comes for Us”. This film, headlined by Joe Taslim known for “The Raid” movies and “Mortal Kombat”, follows a South East Asian Triad member who turns against his gang to safeguard a young girl. The action-packed thriller was filled with intense fight scenes, exaggerated sequences, and an abundance of emotional depth. I’m eager to witness how this innovative director infuses his distinctive style into the “Beekeeper” series, as it might amplify the already high level of violence (if such a thing is possible).
