The Big Bang Theory Pranks Were Banned After Kaley Cuoco's Serious Injury

As a long-time fan of “The Big Bang Theory,” I was always looking forward to the hilarious antics and pranks that took place both on and off-screen. But after reading about Kaley Cuoco’s unfortunate injury during a prank gone wrong between her and Johnny Galecki, my perspective on these jokes has definitely changed.

At “The Big Bang Theory,” humor and amusing antics, whether on or off the camera, were central. Regrettably, the show’s behind-the-scenes comedy came with a caution label due to the pranks instigated by co-stars Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco during Season 6. During an interview at San Diego Comic-Con (as reported in the Toronto Sun), these on-screen sweethearts and real-life exes confessed they were responsible for banning pranks on the popular sitcom’s set.

During the production of Season 6, Episode 16 named “The Tangible Affection Proof,” the duo intended to play a practical joke with Johnny Galecki feigning punching Kaley Cuoco for an amusing gag reel moment. However, things didn’t go as planned. Instead of resulting in a beloved blooper that would endear Kaley Cuoco further, she suffered a genuine injury from the prank, significantly diminishing the intended humor.

After Galecki feigned a punch, Cuoco play-acted falling from her chair. However, when she hit her head for genuine reasons, she wasn’t immediately aware of it. She shared that upon standing up, she was elated about the successful prank, only to find herself covered in blood. “We succeeded. (Upon rising) all I could see was blood pouring from my head… it was everywhere!” The day culminated with a hospital visit for Cuoco, and the incident left an impact on the entire production. “I required stitches that day and returned to film the following day. Upon returning, there were signs warning ‘No fun allowed on the Big Bang set.'” This was just one of numerous regulations the “The Big Bang Theory” cast had to adhere to, whether they were working or merely socializing on set.

Kaley Cucoco continued pulling pranks, just not on the set of The Big Bang Theory

As a gamer, I’ve learned that sometimes following the rules is necessary, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop entirely. When filming “The Big Bang Theory,” Kaley Cuoco and the cast adhered to the no-prank rule after an unfortunate incident involving a chair. But while working on the thriller series “The Flight Attendant” for HBO, Cuoco couldn’t resist sharing some of the mischief taking place off-camera. In fact, she revealed one particularly nasty prank played on her by none other than her make-up artist, Jayde Moon. From my perspective as an observer, it seems that Cuoco found a way to add excitement and humor to her filming experience despite any rules that may have been in place.

As a seasoned content writer and social media enthusiast, I’ve come across many entertaining stories involving celebrities and their quirky antics. But among all, the tale of Kaley Cuoco’s bathroom decor prank by her assistant, Moon, stands out as one of the most amusing.

Unfortunately for the TV actress, the on-set pranks continued to be a daily occurrence. The cast and crew joined forces frequently to play tricks on her. She shared, “This is my reality. The cast and crew have planned surprises for me, and now I’m always on edge. I don’t feel secure.” The last incident that pushed her over the edge was when someone changed her initials on her personalized chair to the word “stupid.” She offered a substantial reward for information leading to the identity of the prankster, but never disclosed if the culprit was found.
