‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Scores Three-Season Renewal at CBS

CBS has decided to continue airing the popular daytime soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, for a number of additional seasons.

The television network has commissioned an additional three seasons for “The Bold and the Beautiful,” pushing its run to its 41st season in the 2027-28 period. This aligns with CBS’ other long-lasting daytime soap, “The Young and the Restless,” which is currently in the first year of a four-year contract that also spans the ’27-28 season.

CBS is still undecided about their first-year soap opera “Beyond the Gates”. This show, which marks over three and a half decades since a daytime drama focused on primarily Black characters, debuted in February with strong viewership numbers.

As a dedicated gamer diving into my favorite show, I can tell you that on average, around 3.2 million folks join me in watching “The Bold and the Beautiful” each week. This total includes both live viewings and those who stream later or catch up via delayed viewing. CBS has shared that this season, our streaming audience on Paramount+ has experienced an impressive 8% growth compared to the previous season (2023-24). However, it’s worth noting, as with most streaming numbers, the specific breakdown between linear and streaming viewership remains under wraps.

The television series “The Bold and the Beautiful” will be renewed for another term, which is two weeks following its 38th anniversary on March 23, 1987. Some of the original cast members like John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang are still part of the show, along with others such as Matthew Atkinson, Kimberlin Brown, Rebecca Budig, Scott Clifton, Delon de Metz, Don Diamont, Sean Kanan, Thorsten Kaye, Annika Noelle, Tanner Novlan, Lawrence Saint-Victor, Heather Tom, and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. Many more actors make up the rest of the cast.
