As a huge fan of both “The Boys” and the Quaid family’s acting talents, I was left reeling after the shocking Season 4 finale. The rumors of the show potentially coming to an end had me feeling downright despondent. But then, just when hope seemed lost, Karl Urban’s Instagram post confirmed that there would indeed be a fifth season!

The final episode of Season 4 for the popular Prime Video series “The Boys” left fans in shock and uncertainty. Even Dennis Quaid, father of Jack Quaid who portrays Hughie Campbell, expressed his doubts about the show continuing to MovieWeb in June, suggesting that this could be the last season.

Relief swept through The Boys fans as series lead Karl Urban (Billy Butcher), posted a picture of himself covered in blood on Instagram, expressing his joy of collaborating with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He signed off, “That’s it for The Boys filming for now. Back in two years (if only it was sooner) for the last season on Amazon Prime Video.”

Dennis Quaid is just as proud of his son, Jack Quaid, as everyone else, and he’s been faithfully watching each episode of “The Boys” along with the rest of us. The seasoned actor, who will soon captivate audiences once more with his role as Ronald Reagan in the upcoming biopic, “Reagan,”, took a moment to commend Jack’s performances in the Prime Video series and his other superhero project, “My Adventures with Superman“, expressing his pride.

From my perspective, it seems that this man is merely scratching the surface of his potential. He’s still relatively young at around thirty years old, and trust me, we have yet to witness the full extent of his abilities. His life experiences thus far may have only been the prelude to greater achievements.

Dennis Quaid on How Jack Quaid Did It His Way

Jack Quaid gained our interest as the minor adversary Marvel in the initial Hunger Games film. For Star Trek: Lower Decks fans, he is recognized as the cherished Lt. Bradward Boimler from the animated show. With news suggesting that The Boys co-star might be planning for Season 5 within the next two years, prepare to witness Quaid wrapping up his narrative, especially focusing on his intricate bond with Erin Moriarty’s puzzled Starlight.

Ever since I was a tiny kid, around four years old, I’ve been carrying a video camera with me, making little films and whatnot. It was just a natural part of who I am. But being the son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid didn’t make things any easier for me. I was in high school drama and later studied drama and film at NYU. When it came time to get an agent, my longtime agent, who had always represented me, wanted to continue handling me. But I said, “No, I want to do this on my own.”

“Young Quaid surprised us all by landing his own representative independently. I was taken aback when I found out he made his acting debut in ‘The Hunger Games’ – his initial film role. Following that, he secured another opportunity, collaborating with Martin Scorsese on the project ‘Vinyl’.”

After that, he acquired “The Boys” all by himself. I thought, wouldn’t it be great if we lent a hand or checked things out together?… But indeed, he managed everything on his own…. He’s merely warming up; you haven’t witnessed anything from him yet.

As a history enthusiast and someone who grew up fascinated by American politics, I am thrilled to my bones about the upcoming biopic “Reagan.” With Dennis Quaid in the lead role, I have no doubt that we’re in for a captivating performance. Quaid has always been a crowd-pleaser, and his portrayal of Ronald Reagan is sure to leave us speechless.
