Bridgerton Associated Books
Beyond the eight main novels that make up the series, there are several other books set within the universe of Bridgerton.
First published in 2013, the book “The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After” provides new developments for all our primary characters, which are also known as “the 2nd Epilogues.” It also features an additional novella entitled “Violet in Bloom.
The “Rokesby” series, also recognized as the “Bridgerton Prequels,” is a set of four novels that take place prior to the “Bridgerton” series, focusing on the Rokesby family and depicting younger iterations of many “Bridgerton” characters. The books are titled “Because of Miss Bridgerton” (2016), “The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband” (2017), “The Other Miss Bridgerton” (2018) and “First Comes Scandal” (2020).
These two collections, titled “Additional Musings of Society’s Chronicler” and “Lady Whistledown’s Return to the Scene“, respectively, showcase the character Lady Whistledown from the “Bridgerton” series. The first was initially released in 2003, followed by the second in 2004. These anthologies were jointly penned by Julia Quinn, Mia Ryan, Karen Hawkins, and Suzanne Enoch.
Ultimately, in the year 2023, Julia Quinn and Shonda Rhimes collaborated on a new work entitled “Queen Charlotte“, which serves as another prequel to the popular series “Bridgerton“. This creation is loosely based on the Netflix Shondaland series for 2023, titled “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story“.
