As a dedicated follower who has been enamored with Bollywood since the days of VCRs and Betamax tapes, I must say that the teaser for Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders has sent shivers down my spine! With my memories of watching Kareena in her early days on the silver screen, it feels like coming full circle to see her take on a gripping and intense character such as this.
At long last, here’s the first trailer for Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hansal Mehta’s film, “The Buckingham Murders.” This intriguing mystery-thriller is scheduled to debut in cinemas on September 13, 2024. The sneak peek promises a captivating experience. The film received positive feedback during its worldwide premiere at the BFI London Film Festival 2023.
The teaser begins with a chilling murder of a young child of an Indian family in a park, which causes outrage and protests. Kareena, in her role as a detective, sets out to uncover the motive behind the murder and identify the killer. The dark and captivating teaser provides a fresh take on the thriller genre.
Previously, I had the privilege of attending the 2023 Mumbai Film Festival at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in October, where “The Buckingham Murders” was screened. This marks my first project with the talented director, Hansal. In an exciting expansion of my roles, I am also serving as a co-producer for this film.

The thrilling movie “The Buckingham Murders” will have its exclusive theatrical debut on September 13, 2024. Starring Ranveer Brar, Ash Tandon, and Keith Allen, this film is directed by Hansal Mehta, written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker. Produced jointly by Mahana Films and TBM Films, it’s presented by Balaji Telefilms, and the dynamic duo Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor are producing it.
Earlier this year, Kareena mentioned in an interview that she relished playing her part in the show since it was her debut as a detective and she loves crime dramas. Despite finding the role demanding due to the character’s grief, which made her uneasy, she also derived great pleasure from it. Kareena referred to the role as career-defining and one of her finest characters. Furthermore, Kapoor asked the director to expand the series into a four-episode arc because she didn’t want to let go of the character.
In the upcoming festive season of Diwali, I am excited to share that I’ll be a part of the highly anticipated film, “Singham Again,” directed by Rohit Shetty. This action-packed sequel brings together an impressive ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff.
