As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Kareena Kapoor Khan is truly a versatile actress who never ceases to surprise us. Her latest film, The Buckingham Murders, showcases yet another side of her acting prowess as she takes on the role of detective Jasmeet Bhamra.
Kareena Kapoor Khan is eagerly anticipating the debut of her film titled The Buckingham Murders. In this production, she portrays the role of Jasmeet Bhamra, a detective. Notably, one of Kareena’s most memorable characters was Geet, the ‘Bathinda wali Sikhni’ from Jab We Met. At the trailer unveiling for her forthcoming movie, the actress hinted at possible similarities between Jas and Geet.
On September 3, 2024, members of The Buckingham Murders team convened in Mumbai for a gathering to unveil the trailer. During this event, Kareena Kapoor Khan was questioned about whether her character Jas shared any characteristics with Geet, as they were both Sardarnis.
In response, Kareena explained that she didn’t see any connection between Jab We Met and her current role because they were two distinct films. She pointed out, “Just because I portray a character with the same authenticity of a religion, for instance, a Sikh woman, it doesn’t mean I have to play a typical girl from Bathinda. I am also capable of playing the detective Jas Bhamra.” Kareena felt that it was an actor’s duty to explore and showcase various characters.
In her own words, Kareena noted, “Just as my characters in ‘Chameli’ and ‘Talaash’ are distinct despite both being portrayed by me, so too is the character of Jas unique.”
