As a cinephile who’s seen his fair share of unconventional films, I must say that “The Carpenter” is shaping up to be a unique and intriguing addition to the cinematic universe. The blend of action, faith, drama, and heavy metal music is an audacious cocktail that, if executed well, could prove to be a riveting spectacle.
Title Introduction: “In the arena where kings clash and peace reigns, prepare for ‘The Carpenter’.” This enticing introduction sets the stage for the upcoming action/faith/drama, ‘The Carpenter‘. Let me elaborate further. Our action-packed film centers around a Viking warrior and skilled fighter who takes on an apprenticeship under a mysterious carpenter. Guess who that Carpenter is? None other than Jesus Christ himself! If this blend of martial arts, Vikings, Jesus, and heavy metal music excites you, then you’re in for a treat! ‘The Carpenter‘ promises fight sequences, philosophical discussions on religion, and an intense heavy metal soundtrack. If this unique combination doesn’t strike a chord with you, perhaps it’s time to reconsider your priorities.
On November 1st, the movie “The Carpenter,” helmed by director Garrett Batty from a story by Kenny Krebs, Kameron Krebs, and himself, will be unveiled. Kameron Krebs plays the volatile Viking character in this production, joined by actors like Kaulin Krebs, Jeff Dickamore, Aurora Florence, as well as skilled fighters such as former heavyweight boxer Daz Crawford, ex-Extreme Fighting Championship competitors Brendon Groenwald and Gideon Drotschie, and Taekwondo master Matt Esof.

As a humble movie reviewer, I’d say: “In an extraordinary tale, I found myself immersed in the life of a Viking orphan named Oren, who trades his swords for chisels under the tutelage of none other than Jesus. While he still engages in combat on the side, his days as a carpenter’s apprentice transform his existence, subtly reshaping his lifestyle.
The Carpenter Promises To Be ‘Unlike’ Any Action Movie Before It
As a passionate film enthusiast, I’m always intrigued by the backstories of movies, and The Carpenter is no exception. The brainchild of its co-writer and lead actor, Kameron Krebs, this unique film idea took root many years ago when he worked on a shed project with his father. The fact that this carpentry-focused concept eventually morphed into an action movie set in 29AD Nazareth, complete with a soundtrack featuring Godsmack, Drowning Pool, and Motley Crue, continues to baffle me.
About ten years ago, my father and I were constructing a shed together when the concept for the movie struck us. As we admired the precision and skill involved in our carpentry work, we started musing about how fitting it would be for Jesus to have been a carpenter. This led us to imagine what it would feel like to learn from him as an apprentice, and that’s when the idea for the film took shape.
Meanwhile, Director Garrett Batty was deeply captivated by the idea itself. Indeed, it’s hard not to be charmed by it too!
From the moment I first heard about it, I was captivated by the idea and found myself pondering a question many share: What was Jesus’ life like during the years prior to His ministry? My mind wandered, painting pictures of Him in His early adulthood before His recorded ministry began. It seemed fitting to portray Jesus as an affectionate, jovial, endearing, and wise older brother. With the right blend of action, music, and the Krebs family’s creative vision, we created a movie that stands out among all I’ve ever had the pleasure to work on.
