  • Konami and FIFA’s collaboration for the FIFAe World Cup 2024 has borne fruit
  • You can tune in to see competitors take on opponents in both console and mobile divisions
  • The grand prize? A $20,000 share of an overall prize pot of $100,000!

As a hardcore gaming enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the eFootball x FIFAe World Cup 2024! Having witnessed the evolution of eSports over the past decade, it’s truly remarkable to see Konami and FIFA join forces in this groundbreaking collaboration.

Just a few weeks ago, we shared the exciting news: Konami’s eFootball and FIFA have teamed up to bring the FIFAe World Cup to Saudi Arabia in this very year! This tournament, which takes place on both console and particularly mobile devices, begins on December 9th. The eFootball x FIFAe World Cup will host a live audience and will be broadcast globally.

The qualifying rounds for the FIFAe World Cup started in October, and now we’re ready with our final competitors! In the console division, there are over 54 players hailing from 22 different nations, all geared up for tough 2v2 battles. On the other hand, mobile version hosts a more exclusive group – 16 players from 16 distinct countries who will compete in one-on-one matches.

The prize for all this play? The lion’s share of $20,000 from a $100,000 prize pool of course! And even if you’re not lucky enough to be one of the folks competing you can still get in on the action with some rewards. Those tuning into streams from December 9th to the 12th can grab up to 4,000 eFootball points and 400,000GP thanks to daily bonuses.

Match of the day

It’s certainly a joyful development for Konami to be involved in this collaboration. Given their successful ventures in securing prominent partnerships with football icons like Messi, and also their popular crossovers with renowned pop-culture entities such as the Captain Tsubasa manga, this collaboration serves as another significant achievement for them.

Of course, it’s a different story altogether as to how appealing it might be to an ordinary player, who typically wouldn’t follow major money tournaments.
