The Fantastic Four Trailer Blows Up with 200 Million Views in Just 24 Hours!

This week, the initial family at Marvel made their mark by unveiling the trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Footprints. Given the excitement surrounding this upcoming release within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was no surprise that fans flocked to catch a glimpse of the teaser. In fact, the impressive viewer numbers suggest that it has been one of the most watched MCU trailer launches in recent times.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the teaser trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” garnered 202 million views in its first day on all platforms. This is one of the highest opening numbers ever recorded for a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) trailer, surpassed only by the 365 million views for the initial “Deadpool & Wolverine” trailer in 2024. Interestingly, the “Deadpool & Wolverine” trailer benefited from its release during Super Bowl LVIII, while “The Fantastic Four” managed to attract such a large audience without the advantage of the big game.

The launch of the trailer for First Steps stood out because the main actors – Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach – traveled to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, to unveil it firsthand. This decision proved successful, as Disney announced that the Alabama trailer premiere on their YouTube channel garnered the highest number of views for a live-stream, and it rapidly became the top trending video on the platform.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Trailer Was a Big Hit on Social Media

As a diehard cinema enthusiast, I couldn’t help but be thrilled by the overwhelming response to the trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”. Across multiple platforms, the social buzz surrounding this preview surpassed 500,000 – a figure that dwarfs any Marvel first-look debut outside of the exceptional cases of Deadpool and Wolverine. This just serves as a testament to the immense anticipation building up for the July release, with fans eagerly awaiting the moment when their beloved team will find their rightful place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In an exciting turn of events, the Intellectual Property (IP) for The Fantastic Four was previously under the ownership of 20th Century Fox. However, with Disney’s acquisition, Marvel Studios has finally claimed control over The Fantastic Four. Coincidentally, this transaction also allowed them to regain control over Deadpool and the X-Men. Needless to say, I can hardly wait to see how these iconic characters will be woven into the rich tapestry of the MCU!

Titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps“, this Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film is directed by Matt Shakman from a screenplay co-written by Jeff Kaplan, Ian Springer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Squires, Eric Pearson, and Peter Cameron. Set in the 1960s, the movie focuses on the Fantastic Four as they strive to save the world from the destructive villain, Galactus. The film also features performances by Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits screens on July 25.
