This is one of the highest opening numbers ever recorded for a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) trailer, surpassed only by the 365 million views for the initial “Deadpool & Wolverine” trailer in 2024. Interestingly, the “Deadpool & Wolverine” trailer benefited from its release during Super Bowl LVIII, while “The Fantastic Four” managed to attract such a large audience without the advantage of the big game.
The launch of the trailer for First Steps stood out because the main actors – Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach – traveled to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, to unveil it firsthand. This decision proved successful, as Disney announced that the Alabama trailer premiere on their YouTube channel garnered the highest number of views for a live-stream, and it rapidly became the top trending video on the platform.

In an exciting turn of events, the Intellectual Property (IP) for The Fantastic Four was previously under the ownership of 20th Century Fox. However, with Disney’s acquisition, Marvel Studios has finally claimed control over The Fantastic Four. Coincidentally, this transaction also allowed them to regain control over Deadpool and the X-Men. Needless to say, I can hardly wait to see how these iconic characters will be woven into the rich tapestry of the MCU!
