As a seasoned horror enthusiast with a soft spot for clown-themed films, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming release of “Do You See Me?” The resurgence of this subgenre has been a breath of fresh (or should I say creepy) air in the horror scene, and the Terrifier franchise has only fueled my appetite for more.
The specialized distribution company Entertainment Squad’s horror genre brand, The Horror Collective, has obtained global distribution rights for the chilling clown-themed movie titled “Do You See Me?“. This spine-tingling film will be unveiled in English-speaking regions starting January 17.
Under the guidance of director Corbin Timbrook, the story unfolds about Emily Edwards, played by Rya Meyers (known for her roles in How to Get Away With Murder and MacGyver). Emily finds herself pursued by a menacing clown with unyielding determination. Additionally, the cast includes Philip Boyd as Randy and Lisa London as Sarah Edwards.
In recent times, clown-themed horror movies have made a comeback, with series like the Terrifier franchise sparking renewed interest in this less common but genuinely chilling subcategory. Shaked Berenson, CEO of Entertainment Squad, expressed that Do You See Me? capitalizes on this cultural trend while providing a distinct, suspenseful perspective that fans will find captivating.
Producer Harel Goldstein stated, “The movie explores primal anxieties associated with clowns, offering a tense and gripping narrative designed to leave spectators breathlessly anticipating what happens next.
This movie, created by Global Genesis Group, is overseen in its production by Al Evan and Rick Romano as its executive producers. The script for this film was jointly written by Timbrook alongside Goldstein and Charles Morris Jr.
The Horror Collective plans to make the movie “Do You See Me?” available online, giving viewers the chance to enjoy its chilling scenes right in their own living rooms.
