Although Thanos is most commonly associated with the Infinity Stones, over time they have also been wielded by others – sometimes individually, other times as a group. However, it may come as a shock to discover that there are more than just those six stones, and some have even manifested beyond the comic books.
To determine their relative strength when discussing cosmic artifacts capable of altering the universe’s fabric, it wasn’t a simple task. We initially assessed each one based on their individual and collective abilities, as well as their potential to augment each other when united. Additionally, we factored in portrayals across various media, including films like “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” After careful evaluation, we have compiled what we believe is the definitive ranking of the Infinity Stones.
12. The Rhythm Gem
It might spark some discussions among fans whether Rhythm Gem should be included on this list, given that it only appeared as a comedic one-off in “The Super Hero Squad Show” between 2009 and 2011. 10. Battlerealm Stones
Instead of just comic books, movies, and TV series, the Infinity Stones exist in another captivating realm – video games. In “Marvel: Contest of Champions,” characters from all over the Marvel Universe are transported to a realm called the Battlerealm, where they’re compelled into fierce battles. One narrative in the game has Thanos once more striving to unite six Infinity Stones, but unlike those from the comics and movies, these are the Genesis Stone, the Nightmare Stone, the Chaos Stone, the Evolution Stone, the War Stone, and the Death Stone.
Due to their distinct characteristics compared to the initial six Infinity Stones, the Battlerealm Stones exhibit unique abilities that we are still learning about. Among these stones, the Death Stone contains a dark and lifeless version of the Battlerealm. Given their instability, the Battlerealm Stones have yet to leave the video game world, but they seem to possess immense power in their own right. When combined, they would give Thanos dominion over the Battlerealm. It’s uncertain if they could be utilized elsewhere at full capacity.
9. The Ego Gem
The original six Infinity Stones were made back in the 1970s, but another one appeared in 1995. This new stone didn’t show up in a collaboration with DC Comics, which was common in the ’90s, instead, it emerged in a comic book crossover where Marvel Universe’s Avengers faced off against the heroes from Malibu Comics’ Ultraverse.
In the series, the six Infinity Gems have vanished in the Ultraverse – a universe distinct from Marvel’s 616 world. As Loki explores various realities to locate them, he stumbles upon an additional gem: The Ego Gem. This gem is not just a stone, but contains the essence of an incredibly old being whose body was destroyed. In time, this being became known as Nemesis. As a gaming enthusiast immersed in the Marvel universe, I’ve come across a fascinating artifact known as the Death Stone. Contrary to another stone bearing a similar name, the Battlerealm rock, this one made an appearance in the 2015 mini-series “The Infinity Gauntlet.” In this series, Thanos, the ever-persistent collector of Infinity Stones, seeks to amass them all for divine powers.
The fact is clear: The Death Stone is a false Infinity Stone. It was invented by a Nova Corps member named Anwen Bakian, who obtained the Reality Stone before Thanos could. With the power of the Reality Stone, Anwen crafted a deception that resulted in Thanos’ demise upon using it.

According to Tony Stark, the Wishing Box serves a role in this universe comparable to the Infinity Gauntlet – it’s a collection of potent artifacts, but instead of the stones, they are individual pieces of Everlasting Glass. The Wishing Box allows the heroes on this planet to prevent a multiverse collision, however, the box itself perishes after being utilized. Although we aren’t sure about each pane’s specific function, it’s reasonable to assume that they may have effects similar to, if not identical with, the Infinity Stones from Earth-616.

As a devoted Marvel fan, I can’t help but share an intriguing tidbit about one of the Infinity Stones – the Soul Stone, initially named the Soul Gem. It was originally held by the brilliant Earth scientist, the High Evolutionary, who was responsible for creating a being known as Adam Warlock.
