As a seasoned gamer and a dedicated golfer, I can’t help but appreciate the vibrant and refreshing take that Nike has offered with their Air Max 1 Golf “Chlorophyll.” Having spent countless hours on virtual greens, I must say, this shoe design brings a touch of realism to my gaming experience. The colorway is reminiscent of those lush, verdant courses I’ve only dreamt of playing in the real world.
Nike unveiled a fresh color scheme for its Air Max 1 Golf shoe, modeled after the original ’86 design, revamped in anticipation of the 2023 season. Unlike the usual autumnal colors that dominate this period, the “Chlorophyll” version of the AM1 G aims to leapfrog winter and embrace the vibrancy of spring instead. If only reality were as simple!
The classic shade of green known as “Chlorophyll” is used consistently, reminiscent of previous colors like “Sport Red” and “True Red.” This signature color adorns various parts of the shoe, including the Swooshes, full-length mudguards, eyelets, heel and tongue logos, toe guards, and insoles. Grey overlays, white midsoles, and mesh toe boxes provide visual contrast. The majority of the material is smooth suede, making it a good choice for golfers on less than ideal weather days. Notably, underfoot, the golf outsole – devoid of spikes – offers better traction compared to its lifestyle counterpart of this sneaker.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excitedly looking forward to checking out the new drop on Nike.com and at local Nike stores in 2025. Unfortunately, they haven’t announced an official release date just yet.
