Nike’s Basketball division is ramping up production of Kobe 9 Elite Protro editions, with fresh and re-emerging color schemes scheduled for release by the end of this year. The design was revived in both high and low versions last year, as part of the brand’s annual “Halo” series, which is preparing to bring back the Kobe 3 Protro later on. Towards the end of 2024, the original Kobe 9 Elite Protro “Christmas” edition made a comeback.
Excitedly, I can’t wait to add more Kobe 9 Protros to my collection, as it seems the Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “China” is making a comeback this year! Though I haven’t seen any images yet, reports from zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files suggest that it will retain its iconic red, gold, and black color scheme from 2014, with a unique graphic design adorning the tongue.
Currently, there’s no official word from the Nike Basketball team about the re-release of the “China” colorway for the Kobe 9 EM Low Protro shoes. Keep an eye out for announcements, including potential sneak peeks at the speculated pair, as we anticipate they might hit stores again during the holiday season on platforms like Nike SNKRS and various international retailers worldwide.
