Netflix has canceled a pair of first-year series, The Residence and Pulse.
As a devoted viewer, I’ve noticed that two captivating series, both debuted in the vibrant spring season and managed impressive four-week stints within Netflix’s global top 10 rankings. Remarkably, “The Residence” outlasted its run in the U.S. streaming charts by Nielsen, demonstrating its strong appeal to audiences worldwide. Consistent with their strategic approach, Netflix is currently conducting a cost-benefit analysis to determine whether these shows will be renewed or given a farewell.
The show titled ‘The Residence’ is a murder mystery that unfolds within the White House. It features Uzo Aduba as Cordelia Cupp, who is known as the world’s greatest detective. This series originates from Shonda Rhimes’ production company, Shondaland, and was created by Paul William Davies, who has previously worked on ‘Scandal’. Initially, the intention was for this show to be an anthology series, with Cordelia Cupp tackling a fresh case each season.
