Actor Chunky Panday is preparing for the debut of his online series titled “The Royals.” In this production, Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar take center stage. A sneak peek at the show was unveiled recently, during which the cast and team members shared amusing anecdotes. When discussing these memories, Chunky reminisced about a humorous incident that occurred when he initially encountered a genuine royal figure. He admitted that he was unsure of how to address him properly.

At the premiere event for The Royals, Chunky Panday unveiled what he contributed to the series. In a heartfelt story, he reminisced about meeting a real-life royal for the first time, expressing his confusion about whether to shake hands, perform Namaste or show respect by touching their feet.

The actor explained that, since everyone seemed to call him ‘Hukum’, he initially assumed it was the man’s given name. However, when it turned out that ‘Hukum’ meant ‘king’, Chunky inquired about the individual’s family name to clarify.

He mentioned, “I encountered some awkwardness when meeting the royals for the first time. That experience found its way into this production.

Chuckie Panday openly discussed his time filming The Royals. He admitted to a touch of exaggerated acting, but was advised to unwind since he wasn’t on the set of Houseful. The performer expressed delight in contributing to the series and expressed hope for a role in the sequel.

The series titled “The Royals” is helmed by directors Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana. This production falls under the label of Pritish Nandy Communications. Ishaan Khatter assumes the character of Aviraaj Singh, a prince, while Bhumi Pednekar embodies Sophia Shekhar, an entrepreneur. The ensemble cast also includes Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Chunky Panday, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, Sumukhi Suresh, Udit Arora, Lisa Mishra and Luke Kenny.

On the popular streaming service, the storyline for the series was unveiled through a summary. It went on to describe, “When alluring Prince Aviraaj encounters Sophia, an enterprising self-made businesswoman, the worlds of royalty and entrepreneurship intertwine in a thrilling dance of love and aspiration.

The new royal romantic comedy, The Royals, is slated to release on Netflix on May 9, 2025.
