From Hogwarts to Diagon Alley, I’ve lived and breathed every moment of it. And boy, have I got some thoughts on these characters and their cool moments!

If you’re familiar with me, you’d realize my deep affection for Harry Potter. I’ve revisited every single Harry Potter movie and cherish the entire cast. Today, I’m elevating this affection by discussing some of the most amazing feats accomplished by various Harry Potter characters (both on-screen and in the books). So, let’s dive right in!

Harry Potter: Learning A Full Patronus At 13

I know. It’s hard to pick just one singular thing that Harry Potter has done in his series. I mean, he literally killed the Dark Lord. That’s pretty cool. But to me, I have to say that mastering a patronus spell at just 13 is even cooler. That’s a super high-level spell that really takes a lot of concentration to do, and while it took time, he accomplished it within a year. Super impressive.

Albus Dumbledore: Disappearing With Fawkes

Albus Dumbledore is incredibly stylish, and there are many instances where he shines, but one moment that particularly stands out to me is when he skillfully employed his phoenix, Fawkes, to escape arrest by the ministry. With a snap of his fingers, he disappeared in a blaze of fire. As Kingsley would say, he’s got panache!

Arthur Weasley: Being An Awesome Wizard And Surviving A Deadly Attack

I feel like Arthur Weasley was side-tracked a lot in the films, but the single coolest thing he ever did was live. He was attacked viciously in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, so much so that he had to go to the hospital right after. But he came out still kicking, and I have to give him props for that.

Narcissa Malfoy: Lying To Voldemort

Narcissa, in all likelihood, performed an extraordinary action within the series – she deceived Voldemort into believing that Harry was dead. While it’s unclear how much concern she had for Harry’s wellbeing, her actions undeniably contributed to Harry’s survival and enabled him to confront Voldemort at a later stage.

Hermione Granger: Literally Everything She Ever Did

It’s quite evident that in numerous instances throughout the Harry Potter series, something disastrous might have occurred if Hermione hadn’t been present. This is what makes Hermione truly exceptional – simply being herself, the most brilliant witch of her generation. Whether it be mastering the art of brewing a polyjuice potion, conjuring a camp from a simple bag, or utilizing her extraordinary intellect, Hermione embodies the epitome of intelligence and resourcefulness.

Luna Lovegood: Fixing Harry’s Nose

Having been acquainted with Luna as a youngster (I even possess her wand), I found myself yearning for more of her presence in the movie and her eccentric personality. Though she has performed some intriguing feats, the most captivating was when, during the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, she magically corrected Harry’s nose. Admittedly, in terms of overall significance, this may seem a minor feat; however, for a sixteen-year-old to possess such abilities is truly remarkable.

Ginny: That Reducto Curse

In the film, I found Ginny’s character underwhelming, and it seemed the actress shared this sentiment too. The character didn’t seem as fully fleshed out compared to others. However, she had some truly captivating scenes, one of which I particularly enjoyed was when she cast the Reducto curse. It may have been chaotic, but that scene where the entire room of prophecies shattered due to her powerful spell was undeniably impressive.

Cedric Diggory: Aid Harry In The Triwizard Tournament

In my eyes, although Robert Pattinson later gained immense fame for the Twilight films, I will forever remember him as Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. One of the most remarkable things he did was aid Harry during the Triwizard Tournament. Interestingly, everyone seemed to be against Harry, including Ron, but Cedric provided him with hints on how to navigate the competition, even though they were rivals. That’s a true gentleman.

Ron Weasley: Saving Harry From The Locket

I’d like to be upfront and say that I think Ron could truly shine if given proper development, as he’s an exceptional character in the books. In the movies, he’s okay, but there are some noteworthy scenes. One of my favorites is when Ron rescues Harry from the locket attempting to kill him in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1”. It’s a memorable instance where Ron outshines others.

Hedwig: Sacrificed Herself For Harry

I’d rather not discuss it too deeply, as it brings tears to my eyes. In the Battle of the 12 Potters, Hedwig bravely took a fatal curse to shield Harry, and we witnessed her plummet. She was truly exceptional—a remarkable owl.

Remus Lupin: Teaching A Class While Also Dealing With Being A Werewolf

Absolutely, it seems rarely discussed, but Remus Lupin stands out as one exceptional Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Not only is he wise and compassionate, but there’s something extraordinary about him – he’s a werewolf who teaches! Isn’t that fascinating? If not for the events at the end of the year, I believe he would have continued teaching.

James And Lily Potter: Sacrificing Themselves For Their Son

There’s truly no other kind of love comparable to a parent’s love, and it is due to this selfless love that we have the complete Harry Potter series. It was their love that led James and Lily to give up their lives to shield their child, which in turn allowed him to survive with the scar he bears.

Mad-Eye Moody: Lead The Mission To Get Harry From The Dursleys

Mad-Eye Moody is a character who elicits varying reactions – you might find him endearing or exasperating, depending on the day. However, one of his most impressive moments comes from leading the mission to rescue Harry from the Dursleys in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.” Despite meeting an untimely end during the battle, he was a fearless leader until the very end.

Draco Malfoy: Fixing A Vanishing Cabinet

In this moment, I’ll be completely open with you and confess that as a child, I harbored an incredibly intense affection for Draco, so my loyalty towards him was unwavering. However, when contemplating his notable achievements, I find myself at a loss because his actions are mainly depicted in later films. Still, this led me to choose him to repair the vanishing cabinet for the Death Eaters. Under immense pressure, he managed to accomplish this task, which is quite remarkable, even if it’s not ideal that he was under such stress.

Peter Pettigrew: Staying As A Rat For Several Years

It’s not exactly an admirable action, but I must acknowledge the fact – Peter Pettigrew managed to stay as a rat for quite some time, which is undeniably remarkable and, if I may add, rather intriguing. Frankly, I can’t fathom how he sustained that form for such a duration.

Hagrid: Somehow Taming An Entire Hippogriff

Hagrid is a character who seems incredibly comfortable in any setting. He’s large with an appearance that suggests he gives the most heartwarming embraces. One of his most remarkable traits is his ability to domesticate an entire Hippogriff, creatures that are typically not meant for riding. Due to Hagrid’s exceptional skills and dedication, Harry Potter even manages to form a friendship with one of these majestic beasts. That’s quite impressive.

Bellatrix Lestrange: Escaping Azkaban

Among the secondary antagonists in the Harry Potter series, Bellatrix Lestrange was a favorite among many fans, either due to Helena Bonham Carter’s impressive portrayal or her unquestionable craziness. She may not have performed many notable feats, but one of her standout scenes is when she manages to escape from Azkaban, a place that is nearly impossible for most characters in the series to break free from. Admittedly, she used an explosion to achieve this escape, but it was still quite dramatic.

Dobby lived as a free elf throughout his life, including his last days. In the movie “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1,” he selflessly gave his life to help Harry Potter and his companions escape from Malfoy Manor by taking Bellatrix’s knife into his body while doing so.

Fred And George Weasley: Making A Mockery Of Umbridge During Testings

From Fred and George, there have been some genuinely amusing incidents. However, when it comes to their most impressive moment, it’s hard to beat the time they brilliantly mocked Umbridge and her tests in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This is when they soared in on brooms, conjuring up magical fireworks and other spectacular feats. Simply fantastic!

Professor Snape: Working As A Double Spy

I mean, obviously. Look, I’m sort of iffy on Snape in general because I still don’t think he should have been as cruel to Harry as he was. However, there’s no denying the coolness of his working as a double spy for Voldemort and the Order. That takes a lot of skill and gut, and I have to give it to him.

Sybill Trelawney: Unknowingly Delivered The Prophecy

Emma Thompson’s portrayal of Sybill Trelawney was undeniably a brilliant choice, and she excels in the role. One of her most captivating scenes is when she unwittingly foretells Harry Potter’s destiny, a prophecy that would resonate years later. Despite her forgetting the incident, it still transpires as planned.

Molly Weasley: Killing Bellatrix Lestrange

“Not my daughter, you…”

When I mention it, the theater erupted in screams as Molly Weasley spoke those words and engaged Bellatrix Lestrange in that final battle from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” A few swift wand movements, and suddenly Bellatrix was nowhere to be found. That’s what we refer to as a true mother.

Charlie Weasley: Tame Dragons

In the films, we never encounter Charlie Weasley as a main character or even spot him at all. Yet, what makes him intriguing is his unique ability to tame dragons – not the gentle, rideable dragons from “How to Train Your Dragon”, but rather fierce and formidable ones that he manages to subdue. That’s quite impressive.

Professor McGonagall: Fighting Snape

Indeed, Professor McGonagall is quite impressive all around. It’s a shame to see Dame Maggie Smith depart, as she embodied her character perfectly. If pressed to choose a standout moment for her, witnessing her duel against Snape in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” was truly remarkable. Engaging him in combat was simply thrilling – and that’s not forgetting the Statue scene (you know the one).

Garrick Ollivander: Giving Harry His Wand

Clearly, without Harry obtaining his wand, he wouldn’t have attended Hogwarts, and we wouldn’t have experienced this exhilarating adventure. Naturally, I’m going to include that in my piece. Remarkably, Ollivander managed to keep his wand shop running for so many years prior to the war – he deserves recognition for that.

Sirius Black: Taking On All Of Those Death Eaters

Sirius Black is an amazing character who performs numerous impressive feats, but among all his actions, my favorite would be the intense battle where he confronts multiple Death Eaters together with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Although this encounter doesn’t have a happy outcome, it remains a thrilling moment in the story.

Lord Voldemort: Splitting His Soul

To put it simply, Voldemort’s act of dividing his soul isn’t a positive development in any sense, but let me be honest about this: It’s quite fascinating. This dark magic was unprecedented, and I must admit that the idea of it is truly captivating.

Nymphadora Tonks: Can Change Her Appearance At Will

As a gamer, I truly yearned for more screen time of Tonks in the movies because her character held such a special place in my heart. Frankly, what made her stand out was her unique ability to shape-shift into anything she desired. Being a Metamorphmagus, she had the extraordinary power to alter her appearance at will, which is just mind-blowing! That’s some next-level stuff right there.

Neville: Killing Nagini

Neville, over time, turned out to be a pivotal figure in the series who significantly expanded his role within it. He also developed into a much more complex character as the story progressed. One of his most memorable moments was undoubtedly when he destroyed Nagini, the last Horcrux, in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.” This act was crucial for Voldemort’s ultimate defeat. Simply put, Neville’s actions were nothing short of legendary.

Barty Crouch Jr.: Impersonates Moody

It’s not exactly something to be praised, but I must acknowledge that Barty Crouch Jr.’s portrayal of Mad-Eye Moody in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is quite remarkable and rather intriguing. Despite the fact that he eventually received his due punishment, and he remains a real pain, it’s hard not to be impressed, if not a bit fascinated.

Viktor Krum: Playing In The Quidditch World Cup

Viktor Krum, a character from “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” left quite an impression, but his presence is limited in the subsequent books. What sets him apart is that he not only attended Durmstrang Institute as a student, but also represented his school in the Quidditch World Cup during his studies. That’s truly remarkable for any athlete.

Horace Slughorn: Transforming An Entire House

Horace Slughorn was an intriguing character in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” Despite his unpredictable nature, he had some noteworthy scenes, one of which I particularly enjoy is our initial encounter with him when he miraculously transforms a disheveled dwelling into a pristine and enchanting abode upon Harry and Dumbledore’s arrival.
