As a long-time fan of Reba McEntire, I am absolutely thrilled to see her returning to our screens with not one but two new projects! Her incredible talent and infectious energy have always made her a standout performer, whether she’s singing “Fancy” or bringing laughter as Barbra Joan “Reba” Hart on the beloved sitcom Reba.
Reba McEntire has been a cherished presence in the world of entertainment for many years, known not only for her country music anthems like “Fancy” and “Does He Love You,” but also for her acting roles on shows such as “Reba” and “Big Sky.” The Country Music Queen continues to captivate audiences, and NBC is capitalizing on this popularity with its fall 2024 TV lineup. McEntire will appear as a coach on “The Voice” and star in the new sitcom “Happy’s Place.” Filming for both shows at once is undoubtedly challenging; however, McEntire manages to pull it off.
Fortunately, Reba McEntire’s filming schedules for her two NBC shows don’t require her to travel extensively as she did when touring and filming “Big Sky” a few years back. In contrast, “The Voice” sets up just next to “Happy’s Place” on the NBC studio lot. McEntire shared with TV Insider that:
On certain days, the shoots overlap, but this is a significant improvement over two years ago when I was working on “Big Sky” in Albuquerque for ABC and then traveling to the East Coast for weekend concerts. Now, this feels like a breeze.
Reba McEntire was fortunate that the lots were next to each other, as it seems impossible for her to handle both with their overlapping schedules if they were much farther apart. She appears excited about being able to commit to both, as she shared with First for Women.)
1. “I’m performing on The Voice inside this structure, then I cross over the neighboring lane and perform at Happy’s Place within another building. Additionally, I own a home here. Compared to Big Sky, this is a breeze! I’m feeling confident and prepared, ready to go! It’s ideal.”
1. It’s clear that Reba McEntire’s passion for her autumn endeavors is infectious, and fans can hardly wait to witness her return to the sitcom world. In the upcoming series “Happy’s Place,” she will collaborate once again with her “Reba” co-star Melissa Peterman and showrunner Kevin Abbott, and what’s more, she will share the screen with her genuine partner Rex Linn as well.
The show isn’t a revival of “Reba,” but rather has Reba taking over her father’s bar, discovering an unexpected half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) in the process. With two productions running back to back, there’s even a chance for crossover episodes between “Happy’s Place” and “The Voice.”
Replica Queen Reba is set to return to her iconic “Big Red Throne” for the upcoming season 26 of “The Voice.” Following her triumphant victory last year with contestant Asher HaVon, McEntire aims for a repeat win. Joining her will be returning coaches Gwen Stefani and new additions Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé. The Blind Auditions are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, September 23, exclusively on NBC and available the next day with a Peacock subscription. In contrast, “Happy’s Place” is slated for its premiere at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, October 18.
