As a devoted fan of The Umbrella Academy, I have been following this extraordinary series since its debut in 2019. Elliot Page, who brilliantly portrays Victor Hargreeves, has been my favorite character from the very beginning. Reading about his heartfelt goodbyes and gratitude for the experience fills me with a mix of emotions. Just like Victor, I too have formed a bond with these characters over the years, and saying goodbye to them is indeed hard.
As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia as Netflix’s beloved series, The Umbrella Academy, prepares for its grand finale. Elliot Page, Emma Raver-Lampman, David Castañeda, and Robert Sheehan are among the talented cast members sharing their poignant farewells and shedding light on what fans can anticipate in this final season.
In an interview with Variety, Elliot Page, known for his role as Victor Hargreeves throughout all four seasons, expressed that saying goodbye after filming was an unusual experience, one that didn’t fully resonate until later. He expresses immense gratitude for having portrayed Victor and hopes the audience enjoys the last season.
Leaving behind the team we’ve worked alongside for so many years is undeniably tough. We’ve grown quite close, like family. I can only hope that this departure conveys the emotions, the humor, and the quirkiness that everyone has come to anticipate from us.
I, David Castañeda, who portrays Diego Hargreeves, had an emotional response, but admitted I’m not great at saying goodbyes. The ending hasn’t fully sunk in during the last few weeks of filming, but I’m certain it will as things move forward. I truly appreciate this journey. In a similar vein, I find myself wanting to linger just a bit longer on set.
As a devoted fan of The Umbrella Academy, I must confess that Emma Raver-Lampman, who breathes life into Alison Hargreeves, shared her feelings about the show’s end. Yet, she emphasized that it doesn’t truly feel like goodbye because the bonds we forged during this incredible journey will last a lifetime.
“Our fans are incredibly diverse and stunning, I believe, because our show mirrors the global spectrum. The depiction in our series is extraordinary, exceptionally rare, and unlike anything else.”
Robert Sheehan, the actor portraying Victor Hargreeves, expressed that he doesn’t sense a permanent goodbye to the show. While others appeared emotional, the whole process seemed routine for him. During filming, they found it hard to believe the producers when they said, “This is it, forever.”
“I’ll postpone any sentimental responses at this moment because there are still several stages of production ahead in which I’ll participate.”

As a dedicated fan of superhero stories and someone who has grown up with a deep affection for complex family dynamics, I find “The Umbrella Academy” to be an exceptional series that hits all the right notes. Having followed the adventures of the Hargreeves siblings since their first season, I’ve been captivated by their unique powers, intriguing personalities, and the way they navigate their tumultuous relationships.
