The Valley of the Architects is a building-based puzzler set to release in March

  • The Valley of the Architects is an upcoming elevator-based puzzler releasing this March
  • Solve the mysteries left behind by the titular Lost Architect
  • Experience a fully voice-acted storyline to boot

In March, “The Valley of the Architects,” an engaging iOS puzzle game we mentioned last week, will be available for download. If you found our previous coverage intriguing, you won’t have to wait much longer as the launch date is fast approaching.

In The Valley of the Architects, much like you’d imagine, you find yourself chasing after the mysterious lost architect. You take on the role of Liz, a writer who travels to Africa in search of answers regarding their unique designs. As she delves deeper into the mystery, she chronicles her adventure while solving each puzzle that involves elevators. Her quest is to unearth the hidden truth behind these structures.

Catherine showed great enthusiasm when discussing this forthcoming launch, and it’s quite understandable why. It offers the delightful challenge of solving puzzles along with an uncommon feature: a fully voice-acted narrative that allows players to immerse themselves in the story as seen through Liz’s eyes.

An architect’s dream

It’s quite clear why Catherine found The Valley of the Architects captivating! I believe games that focus on a single key mechanism, adding unique variations along the way, usually create a smoother and more enjoyable experience compared to those that cram every possible element including the kitchen utensils.

Simultaneously, I find myself questioning whether the visual aesthetics of The Valley of the Architects might prove deceptive, as its beautifully intricate structures appear diminutive, even on computer screens. Yet, I have no doubt that many of you are eagerly anticipating the chance to explore it when it becomes available for both iOS and Steam in March.
