Following the end of Sunday’s season finale, Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier are planning to carry on with their European adventure, which will ultimately lead them to Spain. A fresh teaser hinting at what lies ahead for the cast of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been released after the finale, offering a quick peek at what they’ll encounter when they eventually arrive at their destination.

As a dedicated gamer diving into the latest updates from “The Walking Dead”, I was thrilled when the teaser for Daryl Dixon’s new adventure, titled “The Book of Carol”, dropped during the finale on Sunday. The reunion of our zombie-battling comrades was cut short as they found themselves in a tunnel, their destination being none other than London. With filming for season 3 now in progress in Spain, I can’t help but wonder: How on earth will Daryl and Carol end up there?

Daryl confided to Carol that he felt like quitting, believing everything was lost,” Carol responds sympathetically, managing a faint smile. “We seem to share the same sentiments,” she adds.

The new season is set to premiere in 2025 on AMC and AMC+.

For the filming of Season Three, the production team chose to travel through various parts of Spain, namely Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia. Each of these regions offers a fresh and distinctive setting for the portrayal of our post-apocalyptic universe. In contrast to the previous season, which was shot in France, this popular AMC series has now relocated its filming location.

In the third season, I embark on a journey alongside Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier, both of us yearning to find our way back home to those we cherish. However, our path becomes increasingly elusive, leading us through uncharted territories with conditions that constantly shift, as we navigate the diverse aftermath of the Walker apocalypse.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the finale’s events, showrunner and executive producer David Zabel expressed that the shift in setting presents an opportunity for the show to undergo a transformation, not just in terms of its narrative but also visually.

The characters should continue their journey rather than staying put, as it should be more of a traveling performance. They need to keep going [on their way back home],” he explained. “By the end of season two, they’re headed somewhere, though we don’t know the precise destination yet. It’s not a straightforward route to their next stop. Instead, the aim is to have the characters facing challenges and pushing forward as they strive to get back home.

Regarding experiencing a fresh culture, he expressed, “That’s going to be incredibly thrilling for revamping the series. It seemed like every indication was guiding us forward to travel to the next destination. In seasons five and six, it could be a new location. They’ll keep journeying until they return home!

Despite the fact that the spinoff series of “The Walking Dead” has only been officially renewed up to season three, Zabel reveals he has a long-term vision for the show. He shared with THR, “I’ve discussed this with Norman, and there is an exciting plan in place.” However, he cautioned, “We don’t even know if we’ll be producing season four yet.” Zabel sees the change of locations as a chance to display the apocalypse from different perspectives around the globe. Yet, he hinted, “At some point, I anticipate that certain events might be influenced by the actions of other characters in the franchise and their locations.

Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay have been added as main cast members for season three. Additionally, Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, and Stephen Merchant will also be part of the show’s ensemble.

Season three of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” is overseen by executive producers including franchise chief creative officer Scott M. Gimple, showrunner David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Michael McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, and Steve Squillante, as well as Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega from Ánima Stillking.
