This week, the latest collaboration between The Weeknd and Playboi Carti, titled “Timeless,” has made its entrance on the Billboard Hot 100 at the third spot.
In its initial week, the collaboration featured on The Weeknd’s upcoming album “Hurry Up Tomorrow” garnered an impressive 28.6 million streams, reached 5.1 million listeners via radio airplay, and sold 6,000 copies. This powerful debut earned it the third spot on the Hot 100 chart and topped the Streaming Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and Hot R&B Songs charts. The track titled “Timeless” sets a new career high for The Weeknd, making it his 19th top 10 entry, while it also marks Carti’s fifth top 10 on the Hot 100, his second number one on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and his first on Hot R&B Songs.
For the first time, ‘Timeless’ was performed at The Weeknd’s special show in Brazil back in early September. His upcoming album, titled ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow‘, marks the conclusion of his album trilogy which includes ‘After Hours‘ and ‘Dawn FM‘. As of now, a release date for the new record has not been disclosed.
