‘There Was A Lot Of Double Sided Tape.’ Kathryn Hahn Just Got A Funny Laud For Going In The Buff (In A Marvel First), But Explains Why It ‘Seemed Necessary’

As a devoted Marvel fan with years of immersion under my belt, I must say that Agatha All Along has left an indelible mark on the MCU. From its groundbreaking representation to its intricate storytelling, it’s safe to say that this series has raised the bar for future Marvel productions.

It’s challenging to tally all the groundbreaking milestones that the series “Agatha All Along” has reached within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For instance, it features a renowned stage artist like Patti LuPone, introduces LGBTQ+ characters prominently, and even drops the first name of Mephisto, paving the way for future Marvel TV series and MCU films. Notably, the premiere also became the first time female figures were given screen time in the entire MCU history.

Agatha Harkness, portrayed by Kathryn Hahn, graced “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on October 28th to start Halloween week with a dash of enchanting panache. As anticipated, the conversation was lively, with Hahn expressing admiration for Margaret Mitchell’s outstanding portrayal of the Wicked Witch in “The Wizard of Oz”. When the subject of her partially nude scene emerged, Hahn acknowledged her role in its inclusion, stating: “I was the one who made that happen.

Instead of pondering what it reveals about me, let’s consider this: At the start, Agatha appears powerless, requiring either her own efforts or aid from enigmatic figures to break free from a magical restraint. In the initial scene, she is described as donning a robe and venturing outside. However, given her wild state at that point, one might question if she would even bother with a robe, considering her primal condition.

As the finale of the first episode of “Agatha All Along” approached, it wasn’t the most surprising revelation for viewers like me who closely follow theories about “WandaVision” connections and the Scarlet Witch’s destiny. However, for those not deeply invested in these details, it was undoubtedly a significant surprise.

According to Kathryn Hahn, things went relatively smoothly (without any major mishaps like losing body parts), and she admits she received some assistance along the way.

Each step I took produced the sound of tearing paper, as there was an abundance of adhesive strips. Yet, we persevered. It felt essential.

As we approach the last two episodes set to stream on Disney+, it’s nearly shocking that we’ve just witnessed Agatha exposing herself, given the abundance of lunar symbolism used elsewhere in the series.

Kathryn Hahn Gets An Award For Her Marvel Booty

When Jennifer Hudson discussed the subject of superheroes and their backsides, mentioning Hahn as the trailblazer, the actress replied, acknowledging that she fits well among those who share a similar characteristic in this aspect.

At that point, I was unaware of it. But now, knowing it’s associated with Thor is fantastic. In essence, Thor and I are the same – just our bodies enclosed in golden armor. That’s my aspiration. (Informal)

That’s when Hudson presented a unique award tailored for the star of Agatha All Along, and in recognition of her outstanding work. It’s likely that creating an Oscar-parodying trophy featuring a character bent over with his behind exposed would have been challenging or costly. Nevertheless, what she received is truly a delightful prize.

When asked if she was pleased by the new accolade, Kathryn Hahn agreed, saying:

Feels like I’ve just stepped foot on Mars! Absolutely incredible. No need for any more roles; this is the peak of my dreams. Bet you won’t catch me performing again!

It seems to me she might not have to respond quite so drastically, but it’s fantastic that she managed to maintain such a lively sense of humor throughout the situation, and surprisingly, she appears less severe than her screen character suggests.

On Wednesday, October 30th, at 9:00 p.m. ET, Agatha All Along will wrap up its story, whether it’s showing tails or not, on Disney+ as the final two episodes become available to stream.
