For several years following her role as the tough character Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica, Katee Sackhoff dedicated herself to physical fitness, and this week she displayed the fruits of her labor in an impressively artistic photo session. Needless to say, her sci-fi followers had plenty to say about it, but even her celebrity friends and acquaintances chimed in with their praise for her dedication to working out.
The photo comes from professional photographer Denny Denn, who also housed the pic on his own Instagram. (And please note it’s pretty NSFW.) The artsy photo shows Sackhoff mooning the camera, thus her “full moon tonight” caption, and I love how it highlights her cool side tattoo, which I’ve always thought was awesome body art. (If you haven’t seen it before, it reads “You are not here by chance.”)
As a dedicated sci-fi enthusiast, I’ve been fortunate to be part of some incredible projects in this genre, such as “Battlestar Galactica”, various “Star Wars” productions, “Another Life”, the “Riddick” series, and an unforgettable bathtub scene on “The Big Bang Theory”. Naturally, when I shared this post, it attracted a lot of attention from my dedicated fanbase. Many of them expressed their excitement using the phrase “this is the way”, which has become somewhat of a motto among us “Star Wars” fans.
