Three Kingdoms Idle Chronicle tier list and a reroll guide

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve finally sorted out and ranked over 140 different characters based on their classes or types. With more characters joining the game, this ranking system will get an update whenever there’s a significant change. So, remember to keep checking for the latest updates!

If you’re wondering why separate tier lists instead of one? Here’s the answer.

Three Kingdoms Idle Chronicle is a strategy RPG game that offers four distinct character classes: Defense, Physical, Magic, and Support. To ensure seamless advancement in the game, it’s advisable to have at least one representative from each class on your team. This tier list provides separate rankings for the top-performing and underperforming officers within every class, aiding you in selecting the most suitable officer for each role.

It’s important to note that police officers from various ranks possess unique characteristics. Categorizing them in a single list might cause more confusion than clarity. To maintain simplicity and fairness, we have divided them into four separate lists. Take the time to review each list, save your summon tickets, and select officers that align with your playstyle.

However, prior to tapping the large blue button underneath for viewing the tier list, make sure to use these Three Kingdoms Idle Chronicle coupon codes.

1 Defense Units tier list

Tier Officers
S Cao Ren, Rudolph Cai Yan
A Sun Jian, Lu Meng, Ling Tong, Hua Xiong
B Zhang Fei, Dong Zhou, Meng Huo, Wu’s Heavy Axe Soldier, Warlord’s Heavy Hammer Soldier, Wu’s Heavy Hammer Soldier, Shu’s Heavy Hammer Soldier, Wei’s Heavy Hammer Soldier
C Wen Chou, Yan Liang, Gao Shun, Warlord’s Heavy Axe Soldier, Wu’s Elite Hammer Soldier, Wu’s Elite Club Soldier
D Shu’s Heavy Axe Soldier, Warlord’s Shield Soldier, Wei’s Shield Soldier, Yellow Turban Spearman, Wu’s Spearman, Wei’s Spearman, Shu’s Spearman
E Elephant, Warlord’s Centurion, Wu’s Centurion, Shu’s Centurion, Wei’s Centurion

As an avid fan, I’ve noticed that Three Kingdoms: Idle Chronicle boasts over 30 Defense units, each with its unique strengths. Many of these warriors excel in close combat, able to withstand and return fierce attacks. If you prefer the role of a sturdy tank, these melee fighters are your best bet. On the other hand, if crowd control is more your style in the heat of battle, I’d recommend opting for the mid-range units, which excel at managing large groups effectively.

Cao Ren
and
Rudolph Cai Yan
are the pinnacle of mid-range and melee Defense units respectively and they deserve a place at the top of the Three Kingdoms Idle Chronicle tier list. With the skills active, Rudolph Cai Yan deals massive damage while reducing the DMG taken by the other team members while Cao Ren’s final Def stat gets a boost as he becomes Indomitable (HP doesn’t drop for 8 seconds).

Many A-tier units are labeled as Legendary, but their true power lies beyond their paper stats. While they may share similar numbers with Cao and Cai, their performance on the battlefield is notably different. Don’t be deceived by the in-game rarity ratings. Some Heroic and Rare units outperform Legendary ones like Zhang Fei, who unfortunately lands in the B tier.

In the realm of soldiers, once you cross that boundary, things tend to follow a similar pattern. You might encounter archers, hammer troops, centurions, or spearmen, but their stats and performance are quite comparable, with minor exceptions. However, among the defensive units, Wu’s Heavy Axe Soldier stands out as significantly more effective compared to his peers.

Before we proceed to the Physical units tier list, don’t forget to consider adding an Elephant to your team if you get the chance. It’s quite the eye-catcher!

2 Physical Units tier list

Tier Officer
S Yong Gang, Jiang Wei, Huang Zhong, Lu Hua, Ma Chao, Da Qiao, Hong So
A Sun Luban, Taishi Ci, Xiahou Dun, Gan Ning, Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, Gongsun Zan, Dian Wei, Zhang Bao, Zhou Tai, Xiahou Yuan, Gim Do, Gayoung Jin
B Lady Zhurong, Lu Bu, Cao Pi, Tian Feng, Xu Huang, Nanzhong Elite Spearman, Wei’s Assassin, Wu’s Archer Soldier, Wei’s Archer Soldier, Shu’s Archer Soldier
C Wei’s Heavy Axe Soldier, Warlord’s Lion, Wu’s Tiger, Shu’s White Tiger, Wei’s Tiger, Guan Ping, Warlord’s Mace Soldier, Wu’s Mace Soldier, Shu’s Mace Soldier, Warlord’s Crossbow Soldier, Wei’s Crossbow Soldier, Wu’s Crossbow Soldier, Shu’s Elite Foot Soldier, Wu’s Elite Foot Soldier, Warlord Elite Swordsman, Yellow Turban Archer
D Shu’s Elite Swordsman, Wei’s Elite Swordsman, Yellow Turban Foot Soldier,
E Mountain Bandit Spearman, Elite Spearman, Wu’s Infantry, Wei’s Infantry, Shu’s Infantry

In the Physical class of Three Kingdoms: Idle Chronicle, many ordinary combatants reside, yet hidden among them are exceptional officers worth adding to your squad.

The latest collaboration between Three Kingdoms: Idle Chronicle and Gosu introduced FOUR fresh physical characters in the game. Among these, Yong Gang and Hong So stand out as overpowered (OP) due to their extraordinary Attack (ATK) and Critical Rate stats. Additionally, legendary figures such as Jiang Wei and Da Qiao are excellent picks for any playstyle.

You’ll find numerous excellent physical units to choose from. The decision lies in whether you prefer a medium-range, long-range, or extremely long-range unit. If you’re looking for a melee physical unit, your options are either to work diligently and hope for the best to obtain a Legendary melee, or settle with Infantry Units or Tigers instead.

If you’re finding it tough to gather scarce physical units, consider prioritizing your Archer class – they’ll be abundant in the early stages. Meanwhile, while Lions, Tigers, and other big cats are impressive to behold, they may not prove as efficient in combat.

3 Magic Units tier list

Tier Officers
S Santa Huang Yueying, Xiahou Hui, Chen Gong
A Lu Su, Ma Yunlu, Lu Xun, Zhou Yu, Zhuge Liang, Pang De, Zhen Ji, Zhang Jue
B Zhang Liao, Sima Yi, Xun Yu, Cheng Yu, Yuan Shu, Zhang He, Wu’s Assassin, Wei’s Javelin Soldier, Shu’s Javelin Soldier, Warlord’s Javelin Soldier, Wu’s Hurling Soldier
C Jia Xu, Wei’s Mountain Blade Soldier, Zhuge Jin, Shu’s Scholar Official, Wu’s Strategist, Wei’s Strategist, Yellow Turban Strategist
D Shu’s Strategist, Mountain Hammer Soldier, Wu’s Blade Soldier, Shu’s Blade Soldier, Warlord’s Blade Soldier

In the realm of the Three Kingdoms, the following individuals are currently renowned as powerful wizards: Santa Huang Yueying, Xiahou Hui, and Chen Gong hold the title of grand wizards at present.

Despite being a less rare character, Chen Gong consistently surpasses numerous legendary magic units due to his exceptional long-range crowd control capabilities.

The top rank, or A tier, is home to potent yet singularly specialized wizards. Most of the combatants possess an average attack range and mainly concentrate on weakening adversaries rather than strengthening allies. Given the right tactics, these units prove highly effective, but they don’t match up to the S-tier ones that excel in all scenarios.

Below tier B, there are approximately twenty units or more that essentially perform similar tasks but in varying uniforms. Only the Wu’s Assassins and Javelin Soldiers stand out as being particularly useful.

4 Support Units tier list

Tier Officers
S Huang Yueying, Cai Yan, Liu Bei, Wei Yan
A Fa Zheng, Wang Yuanji, Zhang Chunhua, Bu Lianshi, Xu Shu, Liu Shan, Sun Quan
B Yuan Shao, Pang Tong, Cao Cao, Dancer, Yan Baihu, Elephant Soldier
C Shu’s Tribune, Wu’s Tribune, Wei’s Tribune, Wei’s Battering Ram
D Warlord’s Cavalry Soldier, Shu’s Cavalry Soldier, Wei’s Cavalry Soldier, Wu’s Pikeman

It seems that the physical, magical, and defensive aspects of the game require additional reinforcement, which is why there are approximately twenty types of support units to select from. However, it’s important to acknowledge that these support units don’t just stand by idly; they possess buffing and debuffing abilities. Moreover, their crowd-control capabilities surpass those of defense units.

As a gamer, let me give you an example using myself: I’m like the “support” version of the character, Santa Huang Yueying. Unlike just changing my appearance, this support version of Huan Yueying boasts decent stats and offers unique skills that significantly aid the entire team.

Similarly, almost every other support unit has one buff for allies and one debuff for enemies.

In tiers C and D, the units known as “Tribunes” and “Cavalry Soldiers” have only minor bonuses or penalties, which are not particularly impressive. Add to that their relatively low attack and defense values, and these support units are generally considered the weakest in terms of effectiveness.
