THROWBACK: When Priyanka Chopra reacted to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s comment on her accent, ‘Same place that her boyfriend gets it from’

As a long-time observer of Bollywood’s dynamic duo, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan, I find their camaraderie and friendly banter quite refreshing. Their shared history on screen and off has provided us with some memorable moments that continue to entertain us.

Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan are two prominent actresses from Bollywood who have significantly enriched the cinematic landscape of India’s film industry. They once collaborated in the 2006 film “Don: The Chase Begins Again,” directed by Farhan Akhtar.

Previously, Priyanka Chopra took on a significant part, whereas Deepika Padukone briefly appeared as Sonia. Not long ago, both actresses graced Karan Johar’s talk show, Koffee With Karan, and during separate episodes, they discussed each other.

In the 2012 edition of the talk show, during the fast-paced question round, Kareena Kapoor Khan inquired about Priyanka’s accent, asking “Where does Priyanka pick up her accent from?” A few episodes after this, Bajirao Mastani actress Priyanka was a guest. When she conversed with host Karan Johar, he requested her to address Bebo’s inquiry about her.

In response to this, she said, “I believe it’s the same institution where Saif Ali Khan studied abroad.” (At the time of airing these episodes, neither Kareena nor Priyanka were married.)

Moving forward, when asked which items she’d like to pilfer from the computers of Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor (among others), Chopra humorously questioned whether Kareena even had a computer in the first place.

Back in a familiar conversation, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared thoughts on stars receiving National Awards. As the charismatic Jaane Jaan actress, I fondly remember her expressing years ago that she didn’t crave the prestigious award. She passionately declared, ” frankly speaking, I don’t yearn for anything like that. All I truly desire is for the audience to catch a glimpse of our film once, and knowing they did so will be more than enough satisfaction for me.”

The same year, Priyanka responded to Kareena’s comment during an interview with NDTV. She said, “Well, I guess if you don’t have one, then it’s just sour grapes, you know. What do I say?” In 2010, Priyanka received a National Award for Fashion. Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka Chopra is busy with her upcoming Hollywood movie, The Bluff, while Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen in Singham Again.
