‘Thunderbolts’ Brings Special Look to D23 Brazil

As a Marvel enthusiast with years of comic book adventures under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for “Thunderbolts”! With Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour leading the charge, this film promises to be a rollercoaster ride of action, drama, and perhaps a dash of redemption.

In a sneak peek at Marvel’s forthcoming movie, the stars of Thunderbolts – Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour – are diving headfirst into the excitement!

On Saturday, Harbour graced the Brazil D23 fan gathering to unveil the extended preview (as shown below) of an upcoming movie that depicts a band of supervillains being enlisted for secretive government assignments. In the trailer, Pugh remarks, “Everyone here has a dark past. We’re talking about covert operations, assassination contracts.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to be part of this dynamic ensemble cast! Returning as Yelena Belova from Black Widow, there’s Florence Pugh. Joining her is Red Guardian, played by David Harbour. Also on board is Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Lewis Pullman takes on an enigmatic role as a character named Bob.

In the heart-pounding clips, Pugh remarks, “We’re adrift, without a clear goal.” She continues, “Regretfully, our past haunts us.” Meanwhile, Stan asserts, “You have two choices: act upon it immediately or carry it with you for eternity.

Jake Schreier helmed the film titled “Thunderbolts,” with Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, serving as the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez and Scarlett Johansson took on executive producer roles. This movie is adapted from a comic series by Kurt Busiek that shares the same name.

The movie encountered setbacks last year because of writers’ and actors’ strikes, resuming production only following the resolution of labor disputes in Los Angeles. Notably, Geraldine Viswanathan stepped in for Ayo Edebiri, while Pullman took over from Steven Yeun due to scheduling issues.

Thunderbolts is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
