As a seasoned gamer of Lifetime holiday movies, I must say that Tia Mowry‘s return to the channel is music to my eyes! Having grown up watching her and her twin sister Tamera on “Sister Sister,” it feels like coming home to see her star in another heartwarming Christmas flick. The fact that she’s executive producing too, shows how much she’s grown in the industry.
Tia Mowry is returning to Lifetime to continue her run of holiday comedy features.
Mowry is all set to take on both executive production and acting roles in the upcoming movie titled “A Very Merry Beauty Salon“. This production will make its debut on the network later this year. Joining Mowry in the cast are RonReaco Lee, Donna Biscoe, Cocoa Brown, and Ashli Auguillard. Notably, this film serves as the concluding project of Mowry’s three-movie agreement with Lifetime.
A Delightfully Cheerful Beauty Salon revolves around Sienna (Mowry), a woman who runs an Atlanta beauty salon and is gearing up for the annual Tinsel Ball, where she’s set to receive recognition for her philanthropic work. Meanwhile, Lawrence (Lee), a captivating CEO, enters her life as his family’s wine company is co-hosting the ball. However, Sienna’s mother (Biscoe) disapproves of Lawrence changing the longstanding traditions for this prestigious event.
Bobby Yan directs A Very Merry Beauty Salon from a script by Tara Knight.
The movie was produced by Fox Entertainment Studios’ Mar Vista Entertainment and GroupM Motion Entertainment, with executive producers such as Mowry, Adam Shepard, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer, Fernando Szew, Richard Foster, Chet Fenster, Adam Griffin, and Mychael Chinn.
More recently, Mowry has starred in Lifetime movies such as “Yes, Chef! Christmas” (2023), “Miracle in Motor City” (2021), and “A Very Vintage Christmas” (2019). She gained popularity alongside her twin sister Tamera Mowry on the sitcom “Sister Sister”, where Lee was also a regular cast member.
A Very Merry Beauty Salon” is included in the network’s collection of Christmas movies titled “A Very Lifetime Christmas“. Additionally, this year’s lineup includes the films “The Holiday Junkie” starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and “Christmas in the Spotlight“, which features Jessica Lord, Laith Wallschleger, Jennie Mai, and Haley Kalil.
Mowry is represented by UTA, Vault Entertainment, True Public Relations and Felker Toczek.
