Timothée Chalamet Delivers a Convincing Performance in New Trailer for ‘A Complete Unknown’

As a long-time fan of Dylan and his music, this trailer for “A Complete Unknown” has me absolutely electrified! Timothée Chalamet does an outstanding job capturing the raw talent and rebellious spirit that defined Bob Dylan’s early years.

Here comes another deep dive into Timothée Chalamet’s portrayal of Bob Dylan. Following the summer sneak peek, the full trailer for the long-anticipated biopic A Complete Unknown has been released, showing Chalamet effectively embodying Dylan. The film traces Dylan’s journey from his 19-year-old beginnings in Minnesota to his immense fame as a folk-rock icon.

As I found myself nestled in the heart of New York City, I yearned to capture that spark, and so I did, singing “Girl From the North Country” softly in the background. Entering my life was the talented Joan Baez, portrayed by Monica Barbaro, who seemed to share my passion for music. We began to weave a dual tapestry of romance and melody as my reputation and fame started to bloom.

Introduce Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo – a character based on Dylan’s ex-girlfriend Suze Rotolo – who enters the story when Dylan starts questioning his music style. “If you want to capture someone’s attention on stage,” Dylan tells her, “you need to be a bit extraordinary.” You can be beautiful or unattractive, but you can’t be ordinary.

In a bid to escape the confines of traditional folk music, Dylan yearns to switch to rock, stating, “Amidst these two hundred people here, each one seems to expect me to be someone else. Let me simply be… whoever I am not trying to be for them.

Dylan, tired of repeatedly performing “Blowing in the Wind”, decides to stir controversy by switching to an electric guitar, ending the brief sneak peek of the movie with “Like a Rolling Stone”.
