After two years, The White Lotus officially returned to HBO, and your girl’s got theories.
In the same vein as the monkeys showcased in its debut, The White Lotus Season 3 gracefully entered our 2025 television lineup during its luxury-laden February premiere. At long last, we’ve been introduced to a cast of characters that will undoubtedly become familiar companions over the subsequent episodes. With all the acting roles announced throughout the years, it’s high time we witness these talented actors in action and make our educated predictions for their future performances.
Just like every season of “The White Lotus,” theories start to circulate as soon as the first episode airs, and that’s exactly what’s happening with Season 3. Here are my six big predictions on what might transpire throughout the season.
The Girl’s Trip Will Dissolve Into Everyone Admitting How Much They Actually Hate Each Other
It seems like the common perception is that women-only vacations often descend into confusion or turmoil. I have a hunch that the characters portrayed by Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, and Leslie Bibb may find themselves in such a situation.
From the instant I cross paths with Jaclyn, Kate, and Laurie, I can’t shake off an odd vibe from this threesome. They seem enthusiastic about our vacation, as anyone would be, but their interactions – even on just day one – give me the unsettling feeling that there’s a significant disconnect among them.
At least, it appears that among this group, Laurie seems to stand alone. Noticeably, she takes a break from the table at one instance to retreat to her room for a drink and cry. This doesn’t seem like the ideal start for a girls’ trip. However, it might be due to the fact that Kate and Jaclyn often praise each other’s lavish lifestyles, leaving Laurie out of these conversations.
In my opinion, I believe both individuals are subtly criticizing each other through backhanded compliments, and it seems likely that they harbor secret envy towards one another’s lives. This simmering tension will likely escalate into a significant argument, possibly ignited by Laurie making a remark that sets them off. While childhood friendships can be strong, I have my doubts about the longevity of this particular trio, and I fear they may eventually grow apart.

Those Brothers Are Going To Have Sex – Or At The Very Least, Something Sexual
Let me be clear – since we’re talking about HBO, I won’t try to soften this discussion. You know that a classic HBO drama often contains an element of incest, right? This theme is prevalent in many of their popular fantasy series such as Game of Thrones and the upcoming spinoff, House of the Dragon. However, shows like Six Feet Under have integrated this theme into a more contemporary setting. Given this pattern, it’s not surprising if we see some incestuous relationships in this story as well.
It seems quite unusual, but I do sense a potential development between Sam Nivola’s character, Lochlan, and Patrick Schwarzenegger’s character, Saxon. Their uncommon names aside, the frequent discussions about intimate matters and Lochlan’s prolonged gaze at Saxon’s bare form suggest a deeper connection that transcends mere jesting.
It appears that the main aspect of this theory unfolds when we discover that Lochlan isn’t biologically linked to Saxon and Piper, and will be adopted instead. I suspect that Piper and Saxon are Timothy and Victoria’s biological offspring, but something about Victoria (played by Parker Posey, whom we’re already fond of) seems a bit peculiar – I can’t quite put my finger on it. However, whatever this is might have caused them to adopt a third child instead of having one naturally, and it could be the reason behind Lochlan’s strange, seemingly sexual vibe towards Saxon.
Regardless of the choice they make, it’s clear they are going to take some action, though I can’t say for certain if it will involve intimacy. However, there’s definitely an event that’s about to unfold. Ahem, ahem. Nudge, nudge.

Chelsea And Chloe Will Conspire Against Their Middle-Aged Men
Indeed, Chelsea is currently my preferred character from “The White Lotus” series, a sentiment I express openly due to the warm aura she emanates. It seems she genuinely wishes to assist Rick, yet he remains stubbornly disgruntled over not encountering the man he journeyed there to meet, who happens to be middle-aged and moody.
However, the unexpected camaraderie blossoming between Chelsea and Chloe – the actress dating Greg, a character from White Lotus Season 1 who was Tanya’s unfaithful spouse – captivates me.
It’s often thought that a romantic relationship might develop between them, but I believe something different is at play. Instead, it seems these two are planning some sort of scheme against their lovers. It might not involve extreme measures like killing them, but rather working together to make their partners treat them better or even taking financial advantage in some way.
Perhaps it’s my affectionate side towards women talking, but I find myself yearning for a moment where they can unite and stand up against those who mistreat them. Yet, what I truly desire is their collaboration.

A Big Confrontation Is Coming For Timothy And Rick
Despite having just two opportunities to interact, I’m already gearing up for a potential showdown between Rick and Timothy.
Though we only had two chances to see them together, the looming conflict between Rick and Timothy is now my main focus.
Despite not fully understanding Rick’s profession, it’s evident that he has sufficient reasons to spend money on this resort. Simultaneously, Timothy seems to be dealing with some complicated issues at his workplace, as suggested by his call regarding a Wall Street Journal article. As a result, the atmosphere is becoming increasingly tense.
It seems that their interaction might escalate, possibly leading to a confrontation or even a fight. This appears to be initiated when Rick carelessly throws a cigarette in the direction of the other man.

Belinda ISN’T Going To Die
As hinted at during the premiere, I firmly believe that Belinda won’t meet her end in Season 3. That certainly wasn’t her corpse I saw.
Upon learning that Natasha Rothwell would rejoin the series for Season 3, everyone was excited to see how things would unfold. Despite Jennifer Coolidge’s character’s unfortunate fate in Season 2, it wasn’t a surprise to many of us given her character’s volatile nature, which hinted at a potentially short lifespan.
Instead of saying “Belinda is the most peaceful person out there and wouldn’t harm a fly,” you could rephrase it as “Belinda is incredibly gentle and wouldn’t dream of hurting an insect.” Similarly, instead of “We see that she’s excited to be at the Thailand White Lotus the moment she arrives” you could say “Her enthusiasm for being at the Thailand White Lotus is palpable from the moment she steps foot there.” Lastly, instead of “I really don’t think they would bring her back just to kill her off this season,” you could rephrase it as “It seems highly unlikely that they would introduce Belinda only to have her killed off in this season.” In regards to “especially when we just met her son, Zion, and it was hinted at but not confirmed” you could say “Moreover, since we’ve recently been introduced to her son, Zion, and there were suggestions but no confirmation of a deeper connection, it seems even less likely that they would write off Belinda so soon.
It’s possible I’m holding onto hope, but I genuinely believe she won’t pass away.

But One Of The Women On The Girls’ Trip Is Doomed
I am absolutely certain about this, beyond any doubt: The girls’ trip is not just going to disintegrate; it’s heading towards a tragic end, possibly even leading to someone’s demise.
It seems obvious to me that Laurie could be the likely choice due to her already precarious emotional state among her peers. My concern is that either Jaclyn or Kate might lose control and acquire a firearm, potentially leading to a tragic outcome where one of them meets an untimely end.
It was mentioned earlier that there were several gunshots, implying it might not be them firing the weapon – someone else could be involved instead. Could there possibly be a hired assassin or another guest who loses control – like Rick, for instance? Given we don’t know his character, I suspect one of these women may meet an unfortunate end.
Critics have been praising Season 3 of “The White Lotus” as one-of-a-kind, and with its stunning setting, I can’t wait to see what unfolds. I don’t know exactly how the plot will unfold, but I’m ready for the intrigue and the mystery! It’s great to be watching “The White Lotus” again on Sundays!
