Tom Cruise Designed New Popcorn Bucket for Mission: Impossible Movie

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I can’t help but admire Tom Cruise’s commitment to every facet of the films he graces with his presence. Beyond his captivating performances, it’s his unwavering dedication that sets him apart. For instance, you might not know this, but he personally performs all his own stunts – a fact that has earned him quite the reputation. Interestingly enough, even the design of the popcorn bucket for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning was not immune to his meticulous eye; he actually vetoed the original design. Truly, Tom Cruise’s involvement in his movies goes far beyond the silver screen!

According to a report from Empire (as shared on Comicbook.com), AMC’s Food and Beverage Product Strategy Director Rob Bennet originally proposed designing a bucket in the shape of the submarine featured in the movie, which serves as the home for the trouble-causing rogue AI. However, the producers, including Tom Cruise, expressed their disapproval of this idea. Bennet went on to share…

Initially, we aimed to include the submarine from the film (The Sevastopol), but Cruise and the production team declined, forcing us to rethink our plans and start over again.

It’s unclear what specifically Cruise and their team found objectionable regarding the submarine’s design. In fact, it appears to be comparable to many innovative popcorn bucket designs we’ve seen recently. As long as a design has an entrance for the popcorn, it seems open to interpretation. Some of these creations can get quite imaginative.

Instead, we received a typical bucket adorned with an ominous-looking eye – that is, the eye of the AI character, “The Entity,” from the movie. However, at first glance, it could be mistaken for the Eye of Sauron, if not for the Mission: Impossible logo emblazoned on its front. frankly, it’s quite underwhelming. I’d much prefer a submarine.

Regardless of any imperfections in its construction, the submarine design is undeniably more imaginative than a common popcorn bucket adorned with an image. After all, collectible popcorn buckets are appreciated for their uniqueness, and a submarine model will certainly make a striking addition to your shelf.

It turns out that the Dead Reckoning popcorn bucket sparked Tom Cruise’s interest significantly. This enthusiasm led him to actively participate in the design process for the upcoming Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning bucket. Given Tom Cruise’s penchant for the dramatic, it’s not hard to imagine that his input on this project will result in a unique and possibly extraordinary popcorn container.

The design of the bucket remains a mystery at this time, but it’s expected to be unveiled prior to the May 23 release date of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.” Fans of popcorn buckets seem to be eagerly awaiting the reveal, as everyone appears quite pleased with what’s in store.
