Tom Holland and Zendaya are headed down the aisle.
TMZ reported on Monday morning that sources confirmed the engagement of the long-term pair, Zendaya and her partner. This came after Zendaya appeared at Sunday’s Golden Globes with a diamond ring on her finger. Although she often grabs attention on red carpets, the accessory she chose sparked rumors almost immediately upon her arrival outside the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Keen-eyed fans and fashion experts quickly observed that the ring was not from Bulgari, a brand with which Zendaya has a long-term ambassadorship.
At the Globes event, Max’s Instagram account, which showcases her series Euphoria for which she has consecutively won Emmy Awards, appeared to announce the news through a post featuring the ring and a clip from the show. The caption read, “I have never been happier than this.” So far, representatives for both stars have not responded to comments from The Hollywood Reporter, as Holland and Zendaya are known for keeping their private lives discreet due to their worldwide fame.
According to TMZ, Holland’s proposal was low-key and private, happening some time between Christmas and New Year’s. Sources revealed that he proposed in a private setting at one of Zendaya’s family homes in the U.S., making it a very intimate moment for the couple who played Spider-Man and MJ in the movie series. TMZ described it as a simple, sweet moment between them. They first met and fell in love while portraying Peter Parker and MJ in the successful Spider-Man franchise.
Following that announcement, it was revealed by People magazine that Holland had been eager to pop the question for some time. “He’s always harbored deep feelings for her. He’s always known she was the one. They share something quite unique,” a source shared with People, further explaining that they are taking their time before planning a wedding. “They prefer to savor this moment and won’t hurry into tying the knot. Both of them are engrossed in their professional commitments.
News just broke out that Holland and Zendaya will be part of the cast for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie masterpiece titled The Odyssey. They will share the screen with Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong’o. Universal has set a 2026 release date for this highly anticipated film featuring an impressive ensemble of actors.
In a recent cover story by Men’s Health, Holland clarified some aspects of their relationship and joint appearances on red carpets. The famous Marvel star explained that he usually doesn’t accompany her at premieres or award shows where she is nominated because “it’s not my time, it’s hers; if we attend together, it becomes about us rather than just her achievements.
