Tom Sandoval Sues Ariana Madix For Invasion of Privacy Over Moment That Launched Scandoval

As a dedicated fan of “Vanderpump Rules,” I’ve been following the Scandoval saga with bated breath and a heavy heart. The latest development, with Tom Sandoval filing a lawsuit against Ariana Madix for allegedly invading his privacy by peeking at his phone, has added yet another layer to this already complicated web of deceit and betrayal.

Despite the opposition of many “Vanderpump Rules” fans and seemingly insurmountable odds, the Scandoval drama has taken a more disturbing turn. This week, Tom Sandoval filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, alleging that she invaded his privacy by looking through his phone to find intimate videos of one of her friends and fellow cast members.

During the finale of season 10 of Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” an alleged instance of phone spying on Sandoval by his then-partner, Leviss, created a major scandal – one that might be the biggest in Bravo’s reality series history or even reality TV as a whole. For fans hooked on the unfolding drama between the former couple, this incident provides the next exciting installment in their saga, which takes place while they were all filming for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” a popular spinoff that follows the drama involving employees at Lisa Vanderpump’s bars and restaurants.

In a lawsuit brought before the Los Angeles court, Sandoval claims that Madix violated his privacy by unlawfully accessing his phone on March 1, 2023. To her shock, she discovered videos of herself and Leviss on the device. According to the lawsuit, Madix did not possess Sandoval’s consent or permission to examine his phone or watch the videos stored on it.

After making duplicates of the heated recordings, Madix reportedly shared them with several other individuals, as stated in the lawsuit – a charge similarly brought up by Leviss in her own legal action.

In response to the lawsuit filed against him, Tom Sandoval’s attorney, Jordan Susman, made a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Madix’s lawyer’s behalf. The statement read: “It is disgraceful that Tom Sandoval persists in causing distress to Ms. Madix. From the devastating affair that destroyed her peace and security, to months of emotional turmoil and now this further attempt to evade accountability for the havoc his actions wreaked on her emotional health. Sandoval is well aware of the shared privileges regarding our personal communications. If he or his lover had their way, it would be unlawful for anyone to find out if their spouse or significant other was being unfaithful.”

Mr. Sandoval’s shift from pleading for forgiveness from Ms. Madix to accusing her instead, highlights his lack of remorse even after being labeled as “the most hated man in America” by The New York Times months ago. It seems he still refuses to learn from his mistakes and continues to inflict pain on Ms. Madix in a desperate attempt to restore his tarnished reputation. Ms. Madix trusts that the jury will recognize this deceitful behavior and discard his baseless allegations.

I, as a fan, understand that Sandoval’s lawyer, Matthew Geragos, explained to US Weekly why they filed a lawsuit. He mentioned that it was essential to establish fairness and justice among all parties involved following Leviss’s February lawsuit against Sandoval for secretly recording our intimate FaceTime conversations without her consent.

“Mr. Sandoval’s lawyers submitted a counter-claim in response. This typical court move is important for apportioning responsibility fairly between the parties. The lawyers are committed to resolving this legal conflict amicably, respecting the involvement of all involved parties.”

An email sent by THR to Geragos was not immediately returned on Wednesday.

This distribution allegation is also the thrust of a suit, which was filed against Madix by Leviss in February. The 29-year-old is seeking a jury trial in the legal actions against her ex-co-stars and former close friends for eavesdropping, revenge porn and an invasion of privacy. After the scandal broke, she states in the suit, she entered in-patient treatment at a mental health facility.

In her filing, Leviss describes her exit from the show as happening after she faced intense public scrutiny with few past parallels. The last time she appeared on the show was during the three-part reunion for season 10, and there was an additional post-reunion interview filmed following the scandal.

I, as a gamer, have personally observed the ongoing legal disputes between Madix and Leviss, as well as Sandoval’s involvement. Madix has made it clear that she refutes the distribution claims being thrown at her in court by both Leviss and Sandoval. In response, Leviss filed a countersuit, labeling Madix’s case as a desperate attempt to prolong her fame and transform herself into the victim. However, Madix didn’t take this lying down and retaliated with a lawsuit of her own in April. She firmly believes that Leviss is merely trying to blame her for the adverse public reaction stemming from her affair.

If Sandoval and Madix fail to settle their dispute over their shared property, a heated courtroom scene is possible. The trial, scheduled for February, will proceed if the issue remains unsettled.
