The collaborators of the TON ecosystem have teamed up with HashKey Group, an operator of a Hong Kong-based crypto exchange, to facilitate the purchase and sale of cryptocurrencies for people in the Asia-Pacific region through Telegram’s messaging application.
The TON blockchain originally developed by Telegram, but due to certain legal issues, they were forced to cease their work on it. Subsequently, the TON Foundation assumed control with Telegram’s backing.
HashKey and the Foundation are currently prioritizing their efforts on Hong Kong. Should their initiatives prove successful, they aim to extend their reach to other regions within Asia-Pacific.
Following the announcement of their partnership, Toncoin experienced a modest increase in value, but has since dipped overall within the last 24 hours. The broader cryptocurrency market has similarly witnessed a minimal decrease in value during this period.
