Fortunately, it’s not necessary for both parties to own the original copy, as one can extend an invitation through the Friend Pass. This feature, anticipated to debut on Switch 2 at launch, allows your partner to join in and enjoy the entire game with you. If they decide to purchase the full version later, their progress will be preserved.

Still More Chapters to Come

As a passionate gamer, I can’t wait to dive into the world of Deltarune – the sequel to the indie sensation Undertale! Unlike its predecessor, this game seems to be pushing boundaries and ambition to new heights. Instead of one big release, it’s being unveiled in chapters, with the first two chapters available for free across all platforms right now. Chapters 3 and 4 are set to drop on June 5, coinciding with the launch day of the console that will host them – yes, you guessed it, the Switch 2! Not only is this game one of the series’ finest, but it also provides newcomers with a comprehensive introduction to key characters such as protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and his complex counterpart, Goro Majima, who serves as both rival, friend, and adversary.

In this prequel, the duo take center stage as the main characters, with separate yet intertwined narratives that alternate in each chapter. Prior to transitioning to a turn-based format, the game offers classic brawling action. Moreover, this Director’s Cut boasts additional content, such as new storylines, characters, and an online multiplayer mode known as Red Light Raid, where players can select from 60 diverse characters to engage in intense battles against waves of enemies.

Pick One or Mix and Match

While Tetris may be more widely recognized, its lesser-known counterpart, Puyo Puyo, is equally enjoyable. SEGA merged these two classics in a launch title for the Nintendo Switch, followed by a sequel, which is slated to receive an enhanced version on the Nintendo Switch 2. Unfortunately, there won’t be an upgrade path, meaning those who already own it will have to buy the full game again. However, for new players, this offers an excellent starting point. In the sequel to Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, you’ll find a fresh addition called Puyo Tetris Doubles mode, where four players engage simultaneously on a shared playfield, split into two teams of two. While this new feature is certainly enticing, it leaves us wondering if Sega has other exciting surprises hidden up their sleeves that haven’t been revealed yet. The game offers an enjoyable experience with plenty of solo or online playtime, but those who already own the original version might find more value in sticking with what they have.

It’s Easier to Get into the Ring Than Ever

The new release, titled “Street Fighter VI“, belongs to a renowned fighting video game series. It boasts an amazing aesthetic and offers a multitude of fascinating characters for gamers to learn and dominate. Additionally, it features an extensive single-player story mode that allows players to design their own character and craft distinct combat styles. However, the core experience lies in the multiplayer aspect, where opponents engage in intense one-on-one battles, so a Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) subscription is required for this part of the game.

A subscription might offer endless entertainment with Street Fighter VI, potentially spanning an entire console generation and more. Known for their long lifespans, fighting games like Street Fighter have already seen two years of DLC content from Capcom. The Switch 2’s portability, combined with the game’s cross-play feature, could make this a top-notch version if it manages to run smoothly at 60 frames per second.

Inspired by the Classics, But Doing Brand New Things Too

First released in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS, the game is now being remastered exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
