Today commences the fourth open beta for Torerowa, the cooperative multiplayer roguelike dungeon crawler. Participants can now access the newest version of this forthcoming game, featuring the most substantial changes and enhancements yet.

Torerowa can be summed up as a blend of an ‘extractor’ Dark and Darker style game and a traditional isometric Japanese Role-Playing Game (JRPG). You will encounter real-time battles against monsters while exploring a colossal dungeon in search of treasure, aiming to exit safely with your hard-earned loot.

In this latest open beta test, we’re bringing several notable enhancements. Firstly, we’ve added four distinct types of items – Belts, Rings, Amulets, and Charms. The Charms are exclusively dropped by monsters and come with unique advantages. Additionally, Echo Traits will provide over 150 randomized perks to customize your gear even more, with up to five of these traits possible on each equipment piece.


Hack ‘n slash

In the latest edition of OBT four, the process of delving into dungeons has undergone significant changes. Now, maps are initially concealed and can only be revealed by using Sonars discovered within the dungeons. Moreover, each playthrough will offer a different layout for the maps due to their randomization, ensuring fresh experiences every time you venture in.

You now have the flexibility to choose between Player vs Player (PvP) and Player vs Environment (PvE) modes according to your liking in the menu. Keep an eye out as monsters tend to gather in groups, making the dungeons a hazardous place. Additionally, be mindful of new traps that have been set up, as they could potentially hinder your progress while evading the fearsome creatures lurking within.
