As a child of the ’90s, I can vividly remember the infectious energy and joy that The Wiggles brought into our lives. So when I heard about Toyota Australia’s collaboration with this iconic children’s group, I was beyond excited! The Big Red Ute is not just a stage car; it’s a testament to the power of imagination and creativity.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve become part of an exciting collaboration between me and the legendary children’s music group, The Wiggles! Together, we’ve introduced a fantastic new addition to the family – the Big Red Ute stage car. This partnership made its grand debut at The Wiggles’ Melbourne concert on December 7, 2024, with the unveiling of our custom-built stage car. Behind the scenes, Toyota’s Product, Planning and Development team worked tirelessly to create this masterpiece that truly embodies the vibrant energy of The Wiggles. It’s an incredible feeling to be a part of such a unique project!
Michael Mills, a Senior Designer at Toyota Design Australia, emphasized the enthusiasm that fueled the project. “Each aspect of the Big Red Ute was carefully crafted to reflect the exuberant and playful essence of The Wiggles. From its conception to its completion, it’s been an exhilarating ride.
This custom vehicle, modeled after a Toyota FJ Cruiser, boasts striking LED headlights shaped like eyes and an integrated bubble maker for an enchanting flair. It is roadworthy, specifically crafted to make a captivating grand entrance for the band while they perform on stage.
Significantly, this collaboration connects with The Wiggles’ recent chart-topper, Big Red Ute – a lively country-rock tune reminiscent of their iconic Big Red Car. Toyota’s Marketing Chief, Vin Naidoo, highlighted the project’s distinctiveness. “It’s not often we create a vehicle with such creative elements.
