TOZO Golden X1 review – “Feels like luxury”

  • LED Battery Life Display inside Case
  • Customisational options for sound and touch movements
  • Sleek and fantastic design

As a tech-savvy individual who values both style and substance in my gadgets, I can confidently say that the TOZO Golden X1 earbuds have won me over with their luxurious packaging and high-tech features. The moment I unboxed these beauties, I knew I was dealing with a premium product – from the magnetic box to the detailed components breakdown on the side, it’s clear that attention to detail is a priority for TOZO.

When you unbox an item and its packaging exudes elegance, that’s the feeling I got when I opened the magnetic box on the side of the TOZO Golden X1 packaging. The box itself was a testament to this luxury, with details about the small earbuds’ components printed neatly on one side, information lining the entire exterior, and a comprehensive user manual tucked inside a sleeve. The overall experience suggested I was handling a top-tier product.

Impressive Look

I purchased the blue variant of the TOZO Golden X1 earbuds, featuring a soft, pastel blue hue. The charging case complements this color, bearing the ‘TOZO’ logo on its top surface. At the back, there’s a USB-C port for convenient desktop charging. Additionally, a small light indicator is visible through the front of the case to display the battery level when closed.

Upon opening the casing, it provides a digital readout of the charge level. This feature isn’t common on cases and I find it quite intriguing. The earbuds snap securely into place with magnets, and each side has an individual charge indicator shown through lines. Remarkably, you can even observe the case charging these individually. It’s truly cutting-edge technology.

Inside the Box

The TOZO Golden X1 comes with 5 different-sized earbuds, to go on the headphones, along with a classic USB to USBC short cable. The earbuds do feel quite cheap compared to the rest of the stuff that comes with it, but it’s neat to have so many sizes I suppose.

Earbuds themselves

The earbuds are noise cancelling and do a great job of it, especially when considering their smaller size. I’ve reviewed other earbuds that have been much larger in order to cancel noise, so it’s nice to have a smaller pair that does the job. The audio quality is absolutely fantastic too.

When you wear them, these earbuds let you control music by tapping their stems; this action can pause music or play the next track. They are particularly convenient for daily use while on-the-go because of this feature. Interestingly, you can customize all tap controls via their app, offering ten different touch options, five of which can be customized to your preference. Additionally, the earbuds have several modes, such as a wind reduction mode, though I didn’t notice a significant difference between these settings.

Regarding the app for your TOZO Golden X1 earbuds, it’s not mandatory to download it, but if you choose to, you’ll have the opportunity to personalize your listening experience according to your unique hearing. This is achieved through Earprint technology, a simple series of yes or no questions that help determine which frequency bands you can hear. With this information, the sound can be expertly tailored to suit your ears perfectly. It’s an intriguing feature that adds a touch of luxury to the overall brand experience.

Battery Life

I prioritize extending my wireless freedom as much as possible by minimizing the need to recharge my earbuds regularly. The case can store up to 24 hours of power, while the earbuds can last for approximately 8 hours, though this varies based on volume and usage. It’s not an exceptional battery life, but it’s satisfactory, particularly with the LED display on the case that helps you monitor your battery level more accurately.
