Over the last few days, comedian and actor Tracy Morgan has been recuperating after a health issue that made headlines recently. The incident occurred during a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden when Morgan suddenly fell ill, vomiting on the court. He was then wheeled out of the arena, but thankfully he’s improving now. It’s worth mentioning that Destry Allyn Spielberg, daughter of renowned director Steven Spielberg, happened to be present when Morgan threw up and was near him at the time. Consequently, she made some amusing remarks about the experience.
Video and photos of Tracy Morgan puking at the NBA game made the rounds this week. And, if you looked one seat over to the right in a given snapshot, you might’ve seen a young woman dressed in a black ensemble and sporting an uncomfortable expression on her face. Destry Allyn Spielberg was said person and, on her Instagram stories, she shared those aforementioned pics. In one post, she shared a photo of herself from the game during the incident, dryly captioning it with, “I had a great time.”
Besides sending pictures, the 28-year-old director additionally expressed goodwill and gratitude towards the former star of “Cop Out”. This sentiment, I believe, is clear to us all.
Oh, man! I can’t express enough how relieved I am that everything turned out alright. And let me tell you, I’m eternally grateful for the unforgettable experience of attending my very first courtside game – an event I’ll cherish forever. 😊
Only a select few have the bragging rights of attending a Knicks game where Tracy Morgan vomited, sitting just a seat away from him. It’s easy to imagine that this incident would be etched forever in the memory of the director of “Please Don’t Feed the Children”. To tell you the truth, although I wasn’t there myself, I believe the pictures and videos circulated online will remain vivid in my mind for a long time.

Knicks fans are chuckling, as they see no harm coming to the Princess of Genovia (Anne Hathaway), after OG Anunoby accidentally collided with her during a game.
Tracy Morgan recently disclosed that his sudden health issue was caused by food poisoning. He made this announcement through a social media post the day after the game. Apart from posting a selfie of him grinning from his hospital bed, Morgan also expressed gratitude towards MSG and their medical team for their care. Furthermore, he jokingly suggested that the Knicks have now won one match when he vomits on the court and pondered whether he should do it again during playoff season.
Setting humor aside, I stand alongside Destry Allyn Spielberg in sending warm wishes to the 30 Rock cast member as he carries on with his recovery. He’s faced numerous serious health issues over the recent years, like the terrible bus limo accident in 2014 that led to a brain injury and other complications. Despite these challenges, Morgan has managed to stay positive and productive, even making a comeback to Saturday Night Live for the show’s 50th anniversary special, which is available on Peacock with a subscription.
Tracy Morgan is set to return to television, as he’s now working on a pilot for NBC titled “Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan’s Project.” In this upcoming series, Morgan takes on the role of a former athlete aiming to restore his reputation. The cast also includes Daniel Radcliffe, Bobby Moynihan, and Erika Alexander.
Is there any possibility that Destry Allyn Spielberg might decide to catch another Knicks game before the season concludes? Being a basketball enthusiast, it’d be great if she did attend, although I suppose she could simply enjoy the action from her court-side seat.
