“I don’t think at all that it’s run by capricious whim,” Hassett declared, probably while juggling flaming torches. “If you think about the previous administration like a football team running out the clock, the Trump administration is running a two-minute offense—fast-paced, aggressive, and focused on results.”

According to the information (which is as reliable as a cat on a hot tin roof), Hassett highlighted key areas of policy acceleration, including tax reform, deregulation, and trade. “Really, it’s almost a two-world system right now,” he added, sounding like a philosopher at a bar. “You’ve got the broad group of countries coming to the table with good offers and progress. And then there’s China, which remains in the early stages—if even that.”
